My local Texas school board voted in religious education in our public schools last night. Even most of the ultra-conservative public here didn't want it. Because the public is ultra-conservative though, they will vote down a bond soon that would keep the public schools from the ruin that is near due to only approving one bond in 30 years (along with the governor holding state school funds hostage to make sure private school vouchers get passed). Don't worry though, athletic facilities here are some of the worst in the state.
