Everything I see the Stars business is in a very healthy position and will spend big. As for Northland and Tom Gaglardi.. not 100% sure. They still haven't started construction here in Winnipeg of the Sutton Place Hotel that was announced back in like 2013 while three office towers and apartment towers have gone up around it.

They were also building a new hotel by the airport and it took an insane time to complete. Not sure what the business model is exactly, but there was some speculation they self finance everything and refuse to take debt but then projects are slow AF.
Hmm.. Maybe it’s because Winnipeg sucks and focused on other projects lol.

I donno, taking 6 years to build a hotel is an insane timeline. You can follow it on Google Maps since it is so slow.

2019

Let's just say they aren't the quickest developers or construction crew around.
I wonder if there’s anyway to find out if it’s like this with all of their developments.

I mean.. remember when they bought the Texas Stars and said they would develop the land around the arena? I don't think a single thing has been built lol

Fat and happy or fit and angry… that’s a tough one. I think I found a good balance of not being too fat and not being angry all the time (just 50% of the time) lol.

The Fairmont Hotel in Austin broke ground in 2014 and didn't fully complete till 2018 I believe. I worked on some of the stone in the final phase.

Sounds about right looking at the size of the building and 37 floors. This new Sandman is 6 floors lol

Maybe we can put Dumba55 on the 4th line with Brendan Smith, and then have Dumba be a miniature Pat Maroon / Ryan Reaves type to "intimidate" people from the bench. Over-play the top three lines (especially the top line), hope they don't get injured due to overexertion, give up the ability to roll four lines in the process, keep Lindell and Lyubushkin out there whenever the 4th line is on the ice to cover up for their huge mistakes (safety valve), and then rest the top line right before the playoffs start (if we're in a solid enough playoff position) so that way they have time to recover and be ready to go for Round 1.

Or, you know..... They could just scratch Dumba instead.
