If I'm Klingberg and Colorado or Edmonton are on the table, I'm taking one of those 2 teams. Easy to pump up his point totals there and then sign somewhere else this offseason

He's obviously not beating Makar for PP1 though. Probably not Bouchard either in EDM but with the way Colorado plays he'd benefit a lot from it

Klingberg would be massive. he would be great fit on pp2. bring him in on a cheap deal makes it much easier to clear dumba or lyb cap and would be great for fitting bichel in.

something like this is kinda stacked.
harley - miro
lindell - klingberg
bichel - lundkvist

I’m no insider but I was at the Stars morning skate yesterday in Toronto, and LeBrun was sitting with Nill the entire time. I’d imagine that’s what led LeBrun to post this article.

Trading Lyubushkin is a dumb idea and Bichsel isn't ready for the NHL. Dumba is a #7 at this point and was clearly a bad signing. Does PDB trust Nils enough to play him after game #82? If the answer is no, then Nill needs to replace him.

Heiskanen - Lyubushkin
Lindell - Klingberg
Harley - Lundkvist/Trade Deadline Upgrade

I'm fine with bringing Klinger back also. He'd help the power play and he always stepped his game up in the playoffs.

I also have no problem with Nelson. He can play any forward position, good on faceoffs and can put the puck in the net

It kinda sounds like Klingberg will end up in Edmonton

I don't think coming here would be the best move for his career at this point

Quiet right now.

Last I heard was Kadri and Andersson but that was over a month ago.
Calgary has won enough games to kill that.

Then you have almost the entire eastern conference thinking they are a good week of games away from securing a playoff spot. This looks to be quite the seller's market because of how few teams right now are looking to sell

That race in the east is going to be crazy. There about 5 teams total that are for sure out. I wonder if Nill is talking to them already.

Yeah, we shall see.

Andersson did come out recently and said he's heard the trade chatter and that it's just a business...so who knows what they do there?

Warming to the Nelson option.

Scored 34+ goals in the last 3 seasons. Thats the same goal scoring click as Roope Hintz.(Note will probably hit around 25 on a lukewarm Islanders this year)

That does feel like an impact forward. Given he's 33 and a UFA, Probably doesn't require Borque or Bischel the other way...But still adds an experienced playoff performer with good size

I think the talk about the sellers market is fair. It will cost alot to get a premier forward.

Adding Nelson still allows room to add a veteran defenseman like Ristolainen too.

No thanks to Risto. We already have 2 plugs in Dumba and Smith.

I wonder if he pairs with Esa or Miro at 4 nations and plays well...if it's something Nill notices.

Agree with your view. Just think the Stars need more size and physicality for the playoffs. So I think the additions could have that trait about them.

yea your prob right with lyb, I would move dumba before lyb. I'm not a giant fan of lyb bit I'm not that irrational 😂. The lineup I posted is more of a forward looking one in regards to bichel,

I'm still clinging to the Andersson idea, as unlikely as that seems to be. It will obviously be expensive, but there is no better way to assert that we have two more shots at a Cup than by acquiring a legit top pair RHD.

Nyquist feels like a classic Nill move. He drafted him, he'll be super cheap, and his cap hit at the deadline will be very minor.

Nelson would be great too, but I wouldn't move too much for a pure rental. Conditional first and other picks or meh prospects at most. And who knows what Lou is ever gonna do.

Unless Seguin is expected to miss the playoffs (and that seems possible, even if unlikely), I don't think we add more than one forward. Assuming Bourque and Stankoven don't move, obviously. Adding two forwards would mean one of Steel or Dadonov sits as the 13th forward, which seems very unlikely to me.
