I know there's a bug going around, but I believe Bichsel got the call-up this time because Nill wants to see what he has going into the deadline.

Bichsel looks like a positive contributer already, that's a very cheap upgrade we just added for no assets, now we have more space and more assets to go after a forward and a defenseman.

I love Granlund, but he is very similar to Duchene & Stankoven, Giroux might be a Joe replacement, getting Robertson and Hintz back to their prime would be a huge plus. Nelson would be fine as well, can play on any line in any situation. Andersson is the only D I want (Maybe Provorov?), but Petry will be available, and Nill has supposedly liked him in the past.

Might be a fun deadline.

Weill be more interesting tomorow if they call them back up . If Dumba/DeSmith aren't ready they'll be right back up.

Wonder if Alex Tuch is gettable from Buffalo.

Good size right wing on a reasonable cap hit (4.75m) who is reaching that 30 goal a year ceiling.

Only 28 as well so has plenty to offer this year and more.

They're not in LTIR yet so sending him down for a day does still save up a bit of deadline space right ?
Assuming that Seguin isn't on LTIR, as there's not been a report he has that i've seen,
Yes it both, saves some cap space by having his Daily cap hit value not on the roster for a day and they continue to accrue space for the deadline.

You never know...
Rumors can be fun to read sometimes. But some are just strange. Like the ones today saying Dallas is looking at Nazem Kadri. That would be a massive mistake to go after him. Article clearly knows nothing about Dallas as they said Seguin is out so Dallas needs a center. Seguin is playing wing and Dallas has a ton of centers. Kadri’s contract would be a disaster.

You monster.

5 years remaining at 7 per for a 34 year old Kadri. He's been very healthy the last two years, but that contract worries me. I'd be on board at 50% but would Calgary even entertain keeping that on the books?

Bourque for Kadri w/ retention?

Kadri is awesome - the team needs more of this energy. I don't give a f*** about the cap hit
