Didn't Manson played on Colorado's 3rd pairing in their cup run ?

I think so. Regardless, he certainly helped them in the playoffs that year. But when I saw him last year I thought he looked iffy. I think there's a reason why you sometimes see his name get tossed out by Avs fans in trade threads.

I might knock Zellweger but he, like Vatanen, both played above their stature and battled.

Fowler I don't think has ever done that in recent memory for the team. I would rather have a OZ than Fowler any day

Same. When it mattered vatenan made a lot of big mistakes though. I don’t see OZ being that egregious mistake prone in big moments.

The issue with Vatanen was that he could play either offense at about Fowler’s level of production, but look flashier doing it, OR play defense at Fowler’s levels of production, while looking grittier while doing it. What he could not do was play both offense AND defense at Fowler’s level at the same time.
