I’ve already said I’m content without him, teams are more than aware of what fowler can bring to their team if they trade for him.

Don’t think 14 games is going to change many gms opinions of him

And the suck forever is based around the mindset of getting fowler to 1000 games being a priority….to help with our teams perception. I seriously hope that isn’t a priority….. if it works that way because we want to wait till deadline, or no one is offering enough…. Sure that’s fine…. But we shouldn’t just keep him here to get that 1000 games for the sake of doing it.
Fowler will be at 1,000 in 14 games.

That’s not going to end the season.

Considering what happened over this offseason, making the organization look like an attractive place to play potentially should be a priority. (Unless we're galaxy braining that nobody wanting to play here is how we avoided giving horrible contracts to Stamkos or Marchessault so it's actually a good thing.) Whether getting Fowler to 1000 here really matters to that at all or is worth the tradeoffs is a different argument, but a team that just famously failed to land any free agents despite offering more money shouldn't be ignoring perception outright.

I don’t think fowler playing 1000 games is going to make free agents come

Id love to add Kakko personally.... what kinda cap dumps you have in mind

Would probably be Zibanejad, Trouba, Lindgren, or Kreider. Although I think Kreider still has value even with his poor start.

After tonight’s lost, expect changes to be made, but not sure there is a deal out there to be made right now. Too early in the season.

Not letting get Fowler to 1000 games would be petty as f***, especially as he is better then at least a couple of everyday defencemen currently on the roster.

I’m a big Fowler guy, but I don’t give a shit about the 1,000 games unless he tells management it’s a big deal to him. Either way, I imagine teams will want to see him back healthy for 5-10 games before trading, hopefully for the Ducks, valuable assets for him.

It’d be pretty astounding for any player to NOT care about 1,000 games, and would indicate a pretty incredible amount of vitriol between the player and franchise.

Its all timing

Right now sure, hell likely get it because i cant realistically see him being moved until the deadline week.I Imagine well get more value closer to the deadline as there should be potentially more teams in on him. Even then hes prob pretty tough to move... with his money + ntc... not expecting much back, maybe a 2nd +

But its crazy that people are suggesting players wont come here if cam doesnt play 1000 games lol

Fowler+ for Trouba+Kakko in the name of legacy grudges.

It's tough to gauge any of these players' interest in going to a team like the Ducks though, and I don't know their NTC situations offhand. No Cups among the lot of them probably means we end up on their no-trade lists pretty swiftly.

Even though it's not the same situation, we had to overpay Gudas and Killorn to get them in the door, and we lost out on Stamkos and Marchessault. All of those players have Cups and for the most part they needed extra to come over and lead a young team, or they wanted to keep winning. Those reasons would have to be pretty similar for anyone being considered a potential trade target.
