I’ve already said I’m content without him, teams are more than aware of what fowler can bring to their team if they trade for him.

Don’t think 14 games is going to change many gms opinions of him

And the suck forever is based around the mindset of getting fowler to 1000 games being a priority….to help with our teams perception. I seriously hope that isn’t a priority….. if it works that way because we want to wait till deadline, or no one is offering enough…. Sure that’s fine…. But we shouldn’t just keep him here to get that 1000 games for the sake of doing it.
Fowler will be at 1,000 in 14 games.

That’s not going to end the season.

Considering what happened over this offseason, making the organization look like an attractive place to play potentially should be a priority. (Unless we're galaxy braining that nobody wanting to play here is how we avoided giving horrible contracts to Stamkos or Marchessault so it's actually a good thing.) Whether getting Fowler to 1000 here really matters to that at all or is worth the tradeoffs is a different argument, but a team that just famously failed to land any free agents despite offering more money shouldn't be ignoring perception outright.

I don’t think fowler playing 1000 games is going to make free agents come
