This idiot just can’t admit when he’s wrong. Doubling down on something that appears to be the complete opposite of reality, and just for good measure throwing in a line about how horrible Z has played this year, when he’s probably played better hockey than at any point in his career.
Servalli continues to be a hack insider who I wish was shunned by the hockey community.

If Gibby keeps playing like this would rather keep him so he can split the work load from Dostal. If they have a 1A and 1B they won’t get burnt out so quickly. If the offense can improve , maybe could have a decent season.

I mean support for Dostal is more important to me than a later Pick that may never see the NHL.

If the Ducks don't have a competent backup, then Dostal will be forced to carry the load far more often. That is detrimental for Dostal. This board actually discussed this situation of keeping or getting rid of Gibby. Many were on the wagon of trading Gibby because Dostal is the 1a. I wanted to keep Gibby for a few reasons such as keeping Dostal healthy. It was never Gibby vs Dostal, it was Gibby vs the backup to me.

We actually tested this theory out about having any other back up goalie and it didn't turn out fine for Dostal. Reimer had one good game and one abysmal game. Look at the chart below to see the sharp decline in Dostal's play until Gibby returned and has given Dostal proper time off. Even in Gibby's 0.840 Sv % game, he gave us a chance to come back and win from being down 3-1... two of those goals were PP goals against.

The best thing about this team is it's netminding. Without it, then we'd have far more losses. We need both goalies to give all of our skaters confidence and possibly help improve the development of our youths by seeing some wins instead of incessant losses.

If the bruins end up being open for business, other than Frederic ( who’s age and physicality fit our timeline ) who would you all want to add and who would you give to add your bruin to the ducks?

Honestly not much that makes a ton of sense with age and value.

Pasternak would be awesome, but don’t see a world where we’d pay that price for that player

Frederic is prob the most logical fit/practical.

A guy I liked the last few years watching the bruins and chatting with their forum was jake debrusk…. Thought it was a mistake not bringing him back.

Rest are kinda too old for our group, or not great fits.

Geekie would be solid. Big center who is decent on faceoffs?
We definitely need size, can’t hurt that he can win face offs either .

You never know if Boston really tears it down, if they will want to move on from him. Kid like mcavoy used to winning, when the team starts to suck. It’s probably a real shell shock mentally and in his play. People will say he’s paid a lot of money and that shouldn’t happen. But they are human after all

The Ducks did it, albeit a month or so later in the 2018-19 season. Fired RC and then sent away Monty at the TDL. It wasn't a fire sale, but it was the start of the Murray rebuild.
Ya I could def see bruins moving pieces…. But idk that any would be good fits here.

tho I wouldn’t mind getting Frederic and running with

Zegras carlsson killorn
Vatrano mctavish terry
Gauthier Frederic leason
harkins Lundy colangelo

Sure, but what # is he realistically looking at?
3-4 mil a year prob at most
No idea what he is looking for but obviously it is a concern for Boston. With pretty strong speculation that the cap is going up and the annual stupidity of GM's on July 1, his best bet is to see what the market is. And I'm pretty sure that that is exactly what his agent is advising him to do...short of a big overpayment. It wouldn't surprise me if he got a LT deal in the $5 million range....teams seem to want him.
