2024-25 EPL Season

Counting on a youth player who's had a couple good games to fill a key role in the squad is a foolish idea that you'd think United would have learned a lesson from by now.
I disagree, if anything it's something they should do more often instead of dropping 40 plus million for mid players.

I mean, the answer then is to not buy mid players, not to rely on a youth player that has played three matches totaling 185 minutes.
Considering how little Lindelöf and Evans have offered this season, Heaven can easily fill the one gap they leave.
By all means, I welcome it.

Theoretically the CB roster next year is Yoro, Martinez, De Ligt, Maguire, and Heaven without any signings.

I think they'll either sign another body as a 3rd or so CB of they'll extend Lindelof. I think going into next season with Heaven penciled in as the 5th or potentially 6th CB is totally fine.

I think 6th CB is probably fine, although in a back 3 system, it's a bit different, although Mazraoui should then be included probably. Martinez is always injured, though, so it's hard to count on him.

Not happening.

I think he has a chance for 4th before Martinez returns.

Where? Not here. Williams had maybe brief off the bench appearance where he filled his role, but he never showed any improvement. Fosu-Mensah was injured far too muchand I think Mengi too. None really made it to the men's team.
Williams and Fosu-Mensah each played significantly more minutes for United than Heaven has.

I mean Paddy McNair was glazed to high heaven after that one game he dominated Lukaku.
I didn't say Heaven dominated in any post. Just that he fit in. He had no poor performances in the games he managed to play before his injury vs Leicester, which was his best game until that point.

Also, McNair basically only got to play due to injuries. Once people were healthy, he stopped seeing much action and moved to Sunderland.

I’m just saying plenty of players get hyped after a few good games. Heavens looked good, but has played the equivalent of just over 1 game.

As opposed to Heaven, who certainly didn't get to play because of injuries.

Yeah but the difference is that when Heaven is fit, he's more likely to keep Lindelöf and Evans out of the squad. Especially Lindelöf, who is utter shite.
And this is based on 95 minutes of PL play? That's the whole point about the McNair comparison. You can see it with hindsight with McNair but Heaven is apparently immune to it
