what a POS

When he cut basic exoenses , Bruno offered to pay for it, but they refused probably because it would make them look bad

Say what you want about Bruno, but he cares for the club
To clarify, Bruno offered to pay for the staff's tickets and rides to the FA Cup final but the club said no. I have no understanding for the thought process.

This tells you more about Labour under Sir Keir than about Ratcliffe LOL

Deeply fascinated by your undying commitment to the official Man United party line.

Did you miss this post?

Savant Midseason TOTY (2nd team in parentheses)

GK - David Raya (Matz Sels)
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold (Ola Aina)
LB - Antonee Robinson (Marc Cucurella)
CB - Virgil van Dijk (Murillo)
CB - Gabriel (Nikola Milenkovic)
CM - Moises Caicedo (Dejan Kulusevski)
CM - Ryan Gravenberch (Youri Tielemans)
FW - Mo Salah (Bryan Mbeumo)
FW - Bukayo Saka (Matheus Cunha)
FW - Cole Palmer (Morgan Rogers)
ST - Alex Isak (Erling Haaland)

Manager of the Year - Arne Slot
Player of the Year - Mo Salah

Toughest Cuts (alphabetically)

- Alexis - thought about putting Caicedo RB and sneaking him in but started too slow. Currently is surging. Might be here end of season
- Alisson/Kelleher - either would be on here with a full season. Probably would have put Kelleher in anyway if he didn’t poop the bed against Newcastle
- Anderson - have a lot of Forest guys on here. Probably deserves to be on
- Colwill - deserves a shout out but think other guys have been better.
- Diaz/Gakpo - might be on it by the end of the season but wanted to get some others in. Split the vote
- Gvardiol - goals are fun but the defense is too bad
- Joao Pedro/Welbeck - could have been here too but split the vote and have cooled down a bit
- Konate - would be on here if healthy.
- Saliba - will be here later probably.
- Semenyo - another one at the crowded RM spot that deserves a shout. Wanted to have at least one Bournemouth player on though so went with Huijsen
- Wood - what a season. Probably should be on here instead of Haaland

Not having Saliba in the top 4 makes the list highly questionable.

Same for Diaz.
Saliba (and Konate who has been better than Saliba) will probably both be on this end of season. Wanted to give some flowers to the Forest pairing, whom have been terrific and is the biggest reason that team is over achieving. Saliba I don’t think is as good as he was last year, and Gabriel has all the set piece goals going for him so went with him instead.

Diaz I could have easily found a spot for as well but didn’t want to go too heavy on LFC. Also wasn’t sure to count him as LM/FW or ST

No issues with swapping the French pair for the Forest pairing at CB. But harsh for the Forest pair. Talent wise I don’t think the best four CBs in the league are Virgil, Konate, Saliba & Gabriel though

Diaz could go in for Saka if you wanted to account for injury. Haaland if we want to dump on City or Rogers. But again if you are arguing for Diaz, you can have a similar argument for Gakpo. It’s crowded up there. But yeah you wouldn’t have to twist my arm to put Diaz in

Saka (Diaz) - Wood (Isak) - Salah (Mbuemo)
Palmer (Cunha)
Caicedo (Kulusevski) - Gravenberch (Anderson)
Kerkez (Cucurella) - VvD (Konate) - Milenkovic (Gabriel) - Aina (Trent)
Raya (Sels)
Honestly not too difficult. Think this has been a relatively straight forward year for it.

Konate hasn't been better than Saliba. Not even close in fact.
I also don't think Gakpo has been as good as Diaz. Again, not close.

Konate has been better than Saliba this year, and he doesn’t get the shield that Saliba gets at Arsenal. Konate better by just about every metric; but he also hasn’t played since Endrick took him out. But again Konate and Saliba are no worse than 3rd or 4th in any order when both are at their best.

Gakpo has been a better LW than Diaz, but Diaz has been a better ST than Gakpo. I think Diaz started the season better, but Gakpo has been better recently.

Konate gets a huge shield : his team is red hot and can't lose a game.
Saliba has had a better season IMO.

As for Diaz vs Gakpo, again, not even close.
Gakpo has 7 goals and 3 assists in PL+CL.
Diaz has 11 goals and 3 assists in PL+CL.

Not to mention the clutchness.

By what metric?

Saliba plays with three other center backs every game and two DMs. And no one is saying Saliba isn’t great. Konate has just been better, when healthy this season. Both are great though.

Konate team is red hot and can’t lose largely because of him

Again, you aren’t going to get much of an argument from me, Diaz has been better, but it’s been close and Diaz has been playing as a 9 so he is competing with that Isak/Wood/Haaland group. Also was trying to leave UCL out of it. Just glad LFC has both players

What metrics? If we're only taking stat, Saliba leads Konate in (per 90) :
Tackles made, ground duel success (both by huge margins), interceptions, pass %, long pass %, possession lost, dribbles made, and yellow cards.

Not to mention games played.

I think that's a lot metrics.

Konate way better in the air. Konate closer to Saliba in the ground than Saliba closer to him in the air, and again Saliba had a lot more help. Saliba also has that red card. Which is more important than the yellow card difference

If you want to say Saliba is better on availability, sure. But healthy Konate was having an amazing year

You can only have one. What would you rather: Forest win the league or Man United get relegated?

Easily Man U relegation. We had the Leicester Cinderella run recently enough for it to still have been a special thing. One of the giants getting relegated, even if bouncing right back up would be something new.

Would Forest winning be considered as big of an upset like Leicester was?
Probably moreso. The money at the top end of the PL is much more consolidated now than it was then and part of the reason Leicester won was everyone else being shit. Liverpool this year are untouchable.

The fact your graph says Saliba is awful carrying the ball should ring a serious bell man. Like a SERIOUS one.
Konate dominates Saliba in two categories : in the air and in takeaways.
ALL THE OTHER STATS are in favor of Saliba. As stated in my post.

Yes - Konate dominates Saliba in the areas he is better at. Saliba doesn’t dominate Konate at anything.

Not my graph - just reading the numbers. Numbers are what they are
