Mahrez is the second best RW in PL history. But he is not near the top of the list of reasons why City are sputtering right now. They didn’t have him last year either
Last year they weren’t struggling

My point is when a tram is struggling, playets like him can make things happen

You can’t count on Grealish, Doku or Savio to do that, as we saw again today vs Villa

Henry is right

They could also use a proper real striker in kun but it’s not the reason why they’re losing.

Haaland doesn’t have a terrible season statistically speaking but compared to last season he is way below what was expected of him
The issue with Haaland is the way he fits into how City are currently playing.

The way that Pep has set up this squad, Haaland is basically uninvolved in the game aside from a half dozens runs into the box a game and being the target man for a few crosses. He’s not involved in holdup play, rarely is involved in any sort of buildup, etc.

When the midfield and wingers are ticking, and especially when other teams are chasing, that’s fine because there’s more open space to operate in. But when your wingers are mediocre, your midfield is out of sorts, and you don’t have a stable back line to start things forward, that style of attacker doesn’t help nearly as much.

Yep
And that’s why traditional 9s are not as prominent in mondern football as they used to be.
Every player has to be involved to a degree

Hey Phil, how many chances has Cole created this year?

So what colour is Manchester this season?

Henry is right imo. I posted it earlier; City are missing the depth they used to have. Mahrez was such an underrated part of it.

This isn't shocking, they had a brutal window and as I mentioned before in the past that all the eyes are on them because of 115 FC, so they can't go out and spend quaddrillion pounds anymore as they did previously.

What’ll probably happen is they’ll be given the point deduction this season in a year where they aren’t winning the league, which will set off all kinds of conspiracy theories.

Hahahaha, knowing our luck, yup. Some of the charges are UEFA-driven, so I am definitely hoping for a couple of window transfer bans.

They might take their lumps for a year or two. Pep might resign and go coach RM once Ancelotti inevitably calls it quits.

Meh, I don’t think his Barcelona roots would stop him. This isn’t 1990, or even 2010. Loyalty in pro sports isn’t really a thing anymore.
I would love to see that just for the chaos it would create.

But i am pretty sure that he still goes back to Catalonia and has family there. Doing that would turn their lives into literal hell.
