Something something Glazers something.
Glazers were “spend whatever as long as we can continue to loot our millions”

INEOS seems to be the more old school corporate of using necessary expenses (new stadium) to justify being insanely cheap towards staff despite the minor savings on Christmas bonuses or stuff like this being a drop in the bucket compared to new stadium costs or other expenditures for the club (bad transfers and inflated wages)

Both of the paragraphs very true. I'd also add that PSR seems to be becoming an issue for United so cuts have to be made to expenses. And before anyone says "players", their salaries are always cut by 25% when United fail to qualify for the UCL, because it's in their contracts.

I know you like to keep talking about PSR, but United spent 200+ million this summer.

Sure they offset a lot of that from the PSR standpoint with sales, but it still rings hollow to whine about needing to belt tighten due to PSR so you need to cut staff Christmas bonuses and such. Especially when you just spent two orders of magnitude more than that on purchases and wasted how many millions extending a manager everyone could see needed to be let go just so you could figure that out a few months later and then have to pay him a larger buyout.

I also don’t think anyone realistically thinks United will stop spending. Maybe they won’t drop 250 mil in a year, but they’re still gonna drop 150.

The summer spending was helped by getting rid of a few players and sending Sancho on loan. There's been some stories/reports/rumors recently that United are near the PSR ceiling of whatever it's called and they have to cut spending because it's unlikely in my opinion they'll find idiots that would buy Rashford or Antony at a price that it would help PSR and FFP.
