LOL! 13" per year...It snows in Wichita, too, 12.7 inches on average per annum and in winter when snow is SUPPOSED TO fall. Further, it's bad karma for hockey fans to disparage the "beauty" of another hockey town, especially when your team is owned by a washed up former NFL quarterback & a pair of aging Fixer Upper TV show hosts.![]()

Turns out our forecasters were a little off... I've got 11" on my driveway this morning so far. It's gorgeous and the skiing is fantastic!
You're right, I shouldn't have ragged on Wichita, it's a neat big/little cow town. Just not much to look at.
But on the plus side it's not a complete dump like St Louis. When are y'all planning to burn down another suburb next? Made for some great livestreams!

As far as ownership goes, as long as they pour money into the organization and hire a great GM and coach to make the important decisions who cares how they made their cheddar. "Washed up former NFL quarterback" and "aging TV show hosts" looks a helluva lot better on the resume than anything most of us can list... and we sure as hell aren't dropping the coin needed to spread hockey into new communities either. As long as their last name isn't Pegula I'm thrilled.
I'm confident the Knight Monsters can beat Tulsa handily, and a series against Kansas City will be very close and physical. I think we can beat them in six.
Playing and practicing at 6300' is a serious advantage against flatlanders, and all that extra O2 at nearly sea level is a rush.
Good luck to your Blues against Winnipeg... I'm hoping you guys make it a close series!
