Prospect Info: 2024-25 Ducks Prospects

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Sennecke growing another inch since being drafted is interesting

And he hasn't added much onto his frame. This is why the Ducks need to take their time with him b/c his muscles are still being thinned out due to his body still growing. He went from 5'10 to 6'4 in three seasons and we still don't know if he's done getting taller. Let's not break our prospect in half by rushing him to the NHL like Carlsson. I'll take the Luneau route of weightlifting from Sept to Dec, return to juniors, and play in the WJC-20 for next season, but I'd rather let him stay in juniors all season long so he can continue to adapt coordination movement to his growing body while playing. It took Sennecke 3/4ths of his D+0 season for his coordination to click with his new found body. We could be stalling his game if Sennecke is mostly working out and not getting enough games for his coordination to adapt to his growing body.

Procyszyn named second star of his game, smith third star of his.

By winning their final two regular season games over the weekend, captain Pro and his young North Bay Battalion clinched the 8th and final playoff spot in the OHL Eastern Conference. They'll match up with #1 ranked Brantford (Nick Lardis, Jake O'Brien) in round one. The #4/5 matchup on that side will be Sennecke (Oshawa) against Konnor Smith (Mississauga * edits oops they are now Brampton).

On the Western Conference side, we are getting the much anticipated first round matchup between projected top two picks Schaefer and Misa, with Saginaw and Erie (Carey Terrance) landing as the 4/5 seeds.

WHL - Tarin Smith and Everett finished first in the league, will play Western Conference #8 seed Seattle in round one.

Vojtech Port and Lethbridge are the #4 seed in the East and will take on #5 Brandon Wheat Kings.
Everett is such a strong org. Didn't they need to enter a rebuild after trading Olen lol. 1 year and now they have lots of talent that won't age out immediately (Smith, DuPont, Bear) and were 1st in the league.

They kinda of feel like the Knights of the West

I think it's safe to say they will be fighting for a memorial cup for at least the next 2 season with Landon Dupont in his D-2 looking like a generational talent.

By the way, today is Smith's birthday!
