Face washing and spitting are in different universes of issues. We really can't criticize considering we shipped Dionicio from the AHL to Switzerland due to serious issues/a lot going on behind the scene. Both Solberg and Dionicio have to be reined with going overboard in games.

The kid doesn't take many penalties, he plays smart while using his size and strength to play a lot of shoulder on shoulder hockey, knocking guys off the puck, some pushing and shoving or a face wash. Nothing wrong with that.
To me Solberg is born to play NA hockey, I think it'll be fun to watch him play for the Ducks.
Have you ever tried not being condescending? Like honestly it’s exhausting even replying to you because you have to hit the “IYKYK, but you don’t” as if you are the only person who pays attention to prospects.IYKYK, but you don't. So I'll help share proper history for ya.
If a face wash was Solberg's only infraction this year, then it would be different issues. Solberg kept beating down on a player that was already down on the ice earlier in the season, which the team suspended him for a few games as his first excessive incident. The SHL has the right to protect all of its players and the teams see it that way too. Since then, the team has to control Solberg's excess actions as well as develop him into a two-way D. When Solberg does play controlled, then his development shines.
Solberg isn't a fourth line banger who plays 5 to 8 minutes in a game. He's a defenseman who will probably play 15-17 minutes as a 3rd pairing and 20 minutes or more as a top-4D. Losing your d-man on the ice and creating a penalty for your team unnecessarily isn't helping the team.

I know Solberg toes the line, but what Dionicio did is disgusting and has no place in hockey and I could give a f*** about him until he clears that up. As far as Solberg, yes, he needs to understand that line, but comparing those two like you did is dumb, flat out.
It's not my fault you're pushing a wrong history at my expense because you were ignorant of the facts. Is a facewash the same as continually beating down on a downed player? I am not surprised that you didn't acknowledge you pushed a wrong history either, but then try to minimized the overt excess action that spitting is worse than continually beating down a player already down on the ice. Does spitting cause potential concussion, broken orbital(s), cuts, bruises, or the inability to play hockey ever gain?
Both overt excess actions aren't necessary and reveals a lack of self control. Both have no place in hockey.
Here's a prime example of a player who lacks self control.

There's a reason why they called Solberg the most violent man in the draft. He plays this aggressive style of hockey, and sometimes it's too much for his coach. They're trying to slow him down by awarding him some top pairing minutes, hoping he'll be a good boy. But it doesn't work that way, Solberg is who he is. He didn't come cheap for the Ducks, a 1st and a 2nd. But they'll get what they want, a big physical defenseman who also plays well.
Again, the club is fine with violent play in game play. They let him run amok and led the team in hits until he lost his self-control on another player. When he loses self-control is the bigger issue. I don't see Gudas gooning it up regularly, but Gudas plays a violent game all the time and nicknamed "the Butcher".
If Solberg is as who is he is, then the Ducks wasted trading up for simply a 3rd pairing pugilist who will incur more than several unnecessary penalties and not be on the ice. A lot of Solberg's hits would not work in the NHL because they would be penalized as interference. This lack of self-control is a new trait none of us has seen or heard of before.
I see Solberg differently. He had to play a different game against men in Norway b/c his other skills haven't development and reliant on his lottery winning genetics. When he plays against his peers in Norway, then he's able to show off some offensive skills. Could Solberg develop those offensive skills and be more refined offensively, all the while maintaining that violent, physical edge in game play? That's who I thought the Ducks were trading up to get. The Ducks' scouting group draft on who the prospects will become into the future, not who they are today.
Moore scored, but Harvard blows the game in the 3rd period. This round is a best of 3, so they have to win tomorrow and Sunday to keep their season alive. It is looking likely that Moore signs next week.
Has it been confirmed he's sticking with Anaheim? I figured he'd go the FA route with how backlogged our D corps is.
Verbeek was asked about him and he said Moore will sign after his season.Has it been confirmed he's sticking with Anaheim? I figured he'd go the FA route with how backlogged our D corps is.
Good I don't mind Gudas sitting for a few games.Verbeek "expects" Moore to play some games in the AHL and a few games in the NHL in a recent interview, probably part of the negotiations to burn a year off an ELC.
