I wondered if that was the next move after ECHL. Wasn't sure if he would be cool with it.

One note is that dionicio received another unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at the end of the last game. Wonder if that was the last straw.
 
I guess we're starting to find out why Hot Rod went in the 5th round, even with the skating concerns he had going into the draft there's no way a guy with his skills should go so late, hopefully he can get his head screwed on right because he's a really good player.

Spitting isn’t nice, it’s pretty disgusting (in the „icky“-sense rather than the „abhorrent“-sense) and deserves being penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct or whatever, but I always find it a bit funny when folks act like it’s way worse than e.g. a vicious slash. Unlike many other things in hockey, it’s not going to break your skin. It’s almost as close to really mean trash talk as it’s to something that can hurt you. Not to excuse it and Rod needs to cut that out, but it’s one of those things where perspective is pretty much lost.

In a vacuum, this is completely true. But when you put it in the context of hockey (or contact sports in general), guys hit each other with their sticks every game, they crunch each other into the boards, and sometimes even literally punch each other, and it's almost entirely condoned.

Spitting is a type of disrespect that's maybe not as severe as racial/homophobic slurs, but in the same vein. I don't think the comparison between those types of infractions and physical recklessness or endangerment is worth making since they're so different.

Moore's been the captain of a rebuild team for the past two years. For the past two years, Verbeek's asked the Harvard program to make Moore play a two-way game to help develop his offense, but Harvard has been utilizing Moore as a shutdown RD1 on a young team. The talent is still there for Moore and it's not his fault he's been on a rebuild team.

Should Moore go pro with us, then we get immediate RD depth help in our system as he should be further along the development path as a defenseman. Defensemen who can skate fits in with the Ducks.

From Elite Prospects, his scouting profile:
Moore is a gifted skater for a 6-foot-3 defenceman, and a confident puck-carrier. His ability to create speed through the neutral zone is so impressive. He can play an aggressive gap due to mobility, and rush threats are mitigated by his pressure. Moore also has a hard and accurate slap shot; he drops to one knee and generates a ton of flex on his shot​

I wasn’t replying to anything you said about Moore. (It was our 2nd round pick last year Pettersson I replied too) Hopefully he signs with us, but I’m sure if he gives us warning like Thurn we will flip him for a pick.
 
Im expecting us to trade Moore since he hasnt shown a desire to sign here. Hopefully we can get a 2026 2nd for him.
