Farjestad seems to be on a ten day break between games, so they've sent Clara down to the junior club. Looks like he had a rough outing today, allowing four goals on 19 shots.

Not sure if it was posted but Clara played the next night (the 15th) for the junior team and bounced back stopping 28/30 in a 3-2 win. I believe he's back with the SHL club now that they've returned to action

Can you explain how these leagues work? Färjestad qualified for semifinals already. I looked that up and they don't play those games for weeks from now in January. But, they are still playing games in between?

And the semifinals are only two games and then there's a finals? What if the series goes 1-1?

The Champions League involves European teams from several leagues and is played in-season to each respective European league. For example, there are two separate standings for Färjestad with the SHL (Sweden Hockey League) and the Champions League. (Wikipedia covers the breakdown of teams and representation per league.) The SHL and Champions league standings do not interfere with each other.

There are 24 teams qualified for the Champions League and they play six games against each other. The top-16 make it into the playoffs. Once in the playoffs, it is single elimination. (I have links directing you to the 24-team standing as well as the playoff bracket.)

My pleasure. Yes I agree, he's playing better and better, and now he gets rewarded with more ice time. That meeting they had solved a lot of things. I think the Ducks have a very talented kid in Stian.

As someone who hasn’t watched Sidorov in the AHL do we give him a call up? The kid scores goals and we can’t score goals. What if he caught fire on a line with Leo and Killorn. I’m not sure how the rest of his game is so it’s just a shot in the dark. I don’t pay much attention to the Gulls honestly besides knowing who plays for them and their social media updates.

Colangelo was the team's leading goal scorer when he got called up to the NHL earlier in the season and still was when he returned after playing 8 NHL games. The puck followed Colangelo at the NHL level, but the problem was he was stuck on the 4th line and never got a long enough glimpse in a top-6 role. Cronin made Colangelo into a checker and nothing more.

I feel that Sidorov would be in a similar disposition as Colangelo if he were to be called up to the NHL.
