Its funny how when Sennecke goes on a scoring streak his critics vanish lol but will return if he goes scoreless in next game to tell us how its concerning he might not make the WJC team or that he's not scoring 5 points per game.

For all we know Demidov would never want to play for Anaheim or Columbus and he went to a super big (Montreal)market team like Michkov did (Philly). Passing on Lindstrom looks like it was the right choice now for sure.
Ducks prospect syndrome lol.
No Sennecke, Misa, Parekh, Yakemchuk, or Iginla, laughable

This. Honestly so many players left off that you would expect to be there.
Agree with both of you, Hockey Canada seems to be going a different route that doesn’t make sense. Oh well, Sennecke should focus on his strength and skating during that time. I think he’s going to be a great NHL player.

He has 19 goals in 23 games coming off of a foot injury. If you’re worrying about him you’re actively looking for things to worry about.
Exactly this.

Here's his stats for last year, this year so far, and his projection (just current pace extended for the rest of the season). Columns are Games Played, Goas, Assists, Total Points, Penalty Minutes, +/-
View attachment 939031
He's on pace for a 96% increase in goals, 14% percent increase in assists, for an overall 47% increase in total points. He's also on pace to reduce his penalty minutes by 16.5%. What more could you want from the kid?

He was drafted off potential. The worry was that the second half of last year was fluke and not progress. The start of this season clearly shows last year wasn't just a hot streak. I think if teams knew he would put up these numbers the first 3rd of the season, he wouldn't have been a "reach" at three.
Dudes, its the OHL. this does not say much. Ethan Procyszyn has 18g in 24 games, He's not expected to be a top line NHL player ever. Being left of the WJC team by Hockey Canada who watch his games, is concerning at some level. Stop being so defensiv, put your homerglasses away and stop basing you oppinions off of highlight clips.

Nobody knew if he would. Hence why he was a reach.

I’m confused about what you are looking for.

You say you’re worried about him not making the WJC team when that is widely considered a snub and a mistake.

You wonder if you should be worried about his production and then, when shown his production is great, dismiss it because it’s the OHL.

Not sure what else can be said about him. Of course he’s not a sure thing. No prospect is. And he’s riskier than others. But if you won’t be completely assuaged until he’s putting up numbers in the NHL then the answers you want won’t be found here lol

Its like he needs to be scoring at a generational talent level as the #3 overall pick.

Do you wear a helmet every time you go outside in case the sky is falling or do you only save your unnecessary worrying for hockey prospects?
