We are not critics, we are concerned that our nr 3OA pick is not living up to it. We want him and this team do do good. When he is doing whats expected of him what are we suppose to post about? Weird take. Its funny how when Sennecke goes on a scoring streak his critics vanish lol but will return if he goes scoreless in next game to tell us how its concerning he might not make the WJC team or that he's not scoring 5 points per game.
For all we know Demidov would never want to play for Anaheim or Columbus and he went to a super big (Montreal)market team like Michkov did (Philly). Passing on Lindstrom looks like it was the right choice now for sure.
No sennecke or tarin smith invite. Eesh.
Terrance and Burnevik both made USA's camp roster.
This. Honestly so many players left off that you would expect to be there. No Sennecke, Misa, Parekh, Yakemchuk, or Iginla, laughable
For sure. Again, not dunking on the guy. I found it interesting, aswell as a base for worrying about him. There’s obviously some institutional skepticism that Sennecke rated a 3rd overall pick, the most obvious being that the consensus had him somewhere in the 10-20 range, and this is just the most recent indicator.
A lot of scouts aren’t sold on him as an elite player. You kind of have to accept this sort of thing when you reach for a player, especially in the top 3.
No sennecke or tarin smith invite. Eesh.
He has 19 goals in 23 games coming off of a foot injury. If you’re worrying about him you’re actively looking for things to worry about. For sure. Again, not dunking on the guy. I found it interesting, aswell as a base for worrying about him.
Yakemchuk, Parekh and Iginla should be there aswell.
No Sennecke, Misa, Parekh, Yakemchuk, or Iginla, laughable
The most surprising was Misa for me….leading the OHL in scoring and not even an invite?Iginla not being there is far more shocking than Sennecke to me - simply because of his last name
Exactly this.He has 19 goals in 23 games coming off of a foot injury. If you’re worrying about him you’re actively looking for things to worry about.
It absolutely sucks, but yeah, screw it. He really does look like the real deal (he creates much more than what we see from highlights) so just keep on working and things will come.
Nice one. Perhaps Uljanskis, our 7th rounder will also be playing.Your national junior team is staying in my small town for the WJC and playing a couple pre tournament games here. Seemed like a bit of a random choice but we are quite close to the host arena (Sens home rink).
I'm cheering for whatever team plays against Canada because they snubbed Sennecke and Tarin. After several years of rooting for Canada given our young guys on their roster, it’s a nice change to be cheering for other teams.
