Man, Oshawa is just terrible. At this point I wonder if they just move anyone with value and rebuild.

The ECHL hasn't started up and San Diego finally played their first two games this past weekend like the Ducks. It wasn't a great outing for the Gulls as they lost the first game 3-4 and lost the second game on a back to back by 1-4.

50-17 by the end of the game, think they've been outshot by over 100 shots through their first handful of games to the season....
Oshawa are a truly horrid team, hopefully Sennecke is trade pretty quickly.
Let him get the losing experience so he’s mentally ready for it with the Ducks.

Not a chance. That would most certainly require a change of management. The current one is in too deep and in no position to do such a deal after going all in with the Barlow trade.
Oshawa General acquire Jets prospect Colby Barlow in blockbuster trade
The Oshawa Generals have landed a top-notch goalscorer, acquiring Colby Barlow from the Owen Sound Attack in a blockbuster deal.
This is most certainly the hill they're gonna die on. Getting Ritchie back is probably the only thing that could save them. The problem is that they need him back ASAP to turn this ship around. The Avs, however, are really short staffed this season. They need Ritchie, at least for the time being. He also just scored his first NHL goal. Furthermore, even if the Avs at some point do decide to release him, Ritchie is most certainly World Juniors bound.
It's an unfortunate situation for Sennecke but he'll probably be stuck in Oshawa for a while if not the entire season. The Generals can't possibly justify trading Sennecke having just traded 8 future assets for Colby Barlow 10 days ago. If he wants a trade, Sennecke probably has to pubicly demand one...but even then it would remain a delicate affair for the current Generals management.
I think this is all correct. Even if Oshawa is terrible this year, they are likely to keep Sennecke and Danforth around to make a run next year. I read somewhere on this board that the Generals are creating zero offense unless Sennecke is creating it himself. Ducks are in a tough spot with Sennecke and his development.Not a chance. Pronman's 2023 re-draft. Far too early product as it is only a year later, but it's reading material to soak up time. The Myatovic selection doesn't look good one year later. It is still too early in Myatovic's career to be completely down on him. Although, pushing him to the AHL this year feels premature, imo.

I don't think the Generals are gonna have the roster and assets for another run. They went for it last season, trading four picks for Lockhart and Punnett. They also already committed this season, trading four more picks and two of their best young players for Barlow who most certainly won't return to the OHL for an overager year. If you wanna go all in next season then you don't trade 6 pieces for a guy who won't even be there.
If they wanna be competitive next season then they need to change the plan and tank this season. But firstly that would mean admitting their mistake (which they probably can't afford) and trading everybody who won't be with the team next season, including Barlow (who is tanking is value right now). Secondly it's not an ideal time to tank because of the surplus of quality overagers in the OHL. So the Generals would probably struggle to get any kind of return even for strong overagers like Jacob Oster or Luca D'Amato.

The Myativic pick just looks comically bad at this point. It was bad from the second it was made.

There were a lot of prospects I liked over Myatovic, but he's ours now and I'll root for his success.
