Beckett Sennecke, RW (ANA)

Having not played in a game since he was knocked out of the OHL playoffs with an injury last spring, the No. 3 overall pick looked healthy to say the least. He was a force with the puck on his stick, creating with skill, getting to the interior and making mostly good decisions with the puck. He set up a pair of goals and scored one of his own. Sennecke's touch on the puck is special and he showcased some excellent one-on-one skills that confused defenders. His goal was on a tough angle with a perfectly-placed one-timer. You would think he might not have his timing or maybe be a little sluggish coming off of injury, but that was absolutely not the case.

#20 Beckett Sennecke, RW (Anaheim Ducks):

Sennecke was hungry off the hop, showing good speed and landing a couple of big hits in his first two shifts. He then helped set up Tij Iginla’s first goal before his physical play, which led to another one on the next shift. Sennecke then scored the 6-2 goal on the power play to open the third on as good of a shot as you’ll find. Sennecke has not only grown physically over the past year, but he also just thinks the game at a much higher level than he did early on. Today, it felt like he just wanted to knock down anyone who came near him, and he then was good enough to create damage on the scoresheet.

#11 Lucas Pettersson, RW (Anaheim Ducks)
: Pettersson was one of Sweden’s most dangerous players early on and he scored the 3-0 goal to take any momentum away from the Americans. Like Lindstein, he missed the start due to his equipment arriving late but he hasn’t missed a beat thus far. I think he’s a good enough two-way player to secure a spot on the main roster no matter what come December.

Doesn't sound like he played much. Looks like all our fun was yesterday! Onto the rookie tournament.

Yeah think he got benched, had a few penalties. Was a pretty pedestrian game from him. Had a few nice hits but not too much other than that.
