Speculation: 2024-25 Coaching/Management/Ownership

There is no way this will get the attention and respect it deserves. It truly is amazing they are willing to invest this money in an arena they don't own. Compare that to other owners across all sports in NA that want the public to pay for privately owned arenas.

We really are lucky to have owners like this.
They'd be the dream owners for the Angels. If I ever make/get enough money, I'll definitely buy season tickets for the Ducks.

It's one of the reasons I've kept my tickets. Got a better job 2-4 hours away (depending on traffic) so I can't make it to most games anymore, but still go Friday and Sunday when I can.
Ugh, I don't know how you do the commute. I would kill myself. I really hate driving in traffic.

I love our owners!

Under the terms of the Ducks’ latest lease, signed with the city of Anaheim in 2018, Samueli’s management company receives 47.5% of any arena revenue over $6 million annually, although that number is calculated after investments into facility improvements.
“We’re pouring so much money into it, it’s going to be hard for us to ever get our expenses back,” says Michael Schulman, the Ducks’ CEO and OC Sports & Entertainment’s chairman. “Most teams get the city to pay for their arenas, the reverse order. We’re not only not asking for [taxpayer] money, but we’re putting all this extra money into this project that we know we ultimately will not own.”

Waiting for @cheesymc to tell us that a billion dollars really isn't a lot of money.

Hopefully this puts an end to any further claims that the ducks owners are cheapskates and/or don't invest in the team.
Well I hope they're prepared the at least invest in increasing the budget for a head coach if not the internal salary cap.

LOL. There you go again.

Please clarify: (i) what is the current budget for a head coach and which candidates have been eliminated based on budget; and (ii) what specific credible evidence do you have that there's an internal cap?

I'll wait.

Did Tourigny get fired? Am I missing something because Carle and Cooper have both been linked to Utah in the span of a week
Ya I thought the same thing. Ryan Smyth must be amazing, because the NHL were desperate to get him in the league, and the best junior and best senior coaches in the world want to coach there.

There's been talk all over the internet that Anaheim pays their head coaches less than other teams. It's an inference, I'm not going to find you material evidence, Matlock. Calm down.

$1.1 billion is a LOT of money for a renovation, and honestly… I kinda wish they were just building a new arena instead. The lower bowl seating has always been too small, which limits revenue. But hey, I get it! A new arena could easily cost double, and with city ownership in the mix, things get complicated. At the end of the day, I really appreciate what the Samuelis have done for the Ducks and the city. Well… maybe just the Honda Center. Just kidding! They’ve always been committed to making things better IMO, and the renovations do look very cool. Can’t wait! Also, cutting the suites from 80 to 68 and shifting toward four person opera boxes instead of the16-person suites. Maybe this is one way to address the lower bowl issue? Dunno.

I note you didn't address your unsupported claim the ducks have an internal cap whereas there's ample evidence they don't (i.e., the many years they spent to the cap).

It is all over the internet that the lunar landing is fake and that the earth is flat. So I guess you think that's true too?

It seems unwise to form opinions based on unverified sources. That the standard I try to operate under . . . but to each their own.
