And Forsberg also scored a lot of goals when they needed them. If he'd been goal-focused, no question he could have been a 40+ goal guy.
You know around the draft, I recall saying if Leo turned out to be the next Sundin or Forsberg no one would question the pick. Obviously that's high expectations, perhaps unreasonable even.
But in a way, I'm starting to see his comparable as a hybrid of the two. Sundin's size and speed combo was rare, but Leo has some of that. Forsberg's 200ft game, IQ, and playmaking, yeah he's got huge potential for that. He even kind of gets similar type goals. And of course his pet shootout move is very Forsberg-ian. The one thing he lacks is maybe Forsberg's raw physicality, but if he develops everything else then that's okay.
