Fire Cronin and Verbeek. Both are ass. Cronin actively sabotaging the development of the young kids. Verbeek for putting in half ass roster and hiring Cronin.

no accountability in this organization....PV is rapidly proving he is incompetent....you dont get 4 years to "turn things around" in pro sports, and not only that we are no better off now then when he 1st took over....if cronin isnt gone in the next week (it should be before they get home) then the axe needs to fall on his head...there is no way to defend this team over the last decade to be where they are right now....IT HAS TO CHANGE

As much as I think Cronin is a bad and potentially awful coach, he isn’t going anywhere especially cuz the team is .500 after a pretty tough road trip (yes I know it’s all Dostal). We gotta just settle in with him as much as it sucks. I know some people think Verbeek brings him back next year no matter what, but idk I could see him cut ties after this year, but def not during.

I actually think tonight was the most infuriating game of them all. Absolutely suffocated by a terrible team and completely unable to sustain any degree of pressure. At least the Rangers, Devils, Avs and Kings are pretty good teams - we looked similar in those games but the Pens are bad. I’m worried this trend could continue against other bad teams. Dosty can only do this for so long.

Tbf the penguins are a veteran team who were desperate to win tonight. And they played like it, we ran into a similar situation v the devils( who also were desperate to win and turn it around) we play a lot of home games in November. November will be the month that imho clearly shows what direction the ducks under Cronin are headed

You guys are going to drive yourselves insane if you do this after every game this season
Tough not to when we're all watching hoping to see this team take some visible steps towards improvement so that this team eventually gets back to competitive hockey instead of interminably rebuilding. And even more grave is the fact that we actually have a solid collection of promising young players that can help lift the team out of a rebuild if developed properly and if build around properly. If. If they're not, then they go to waste and the rebuild continues.

Echoing others, last game would only be acceptable from the sense that it was the last of a road trip and players probably tired, but that Penguins team is just so bad. To get outplayed that much is not ok.

Cronin&co need to bear down on the defensive zone puck retrievals and how to transition to offense with possession, the team is full of players capable of that. Offensive zone work is mostly fine apart from some lack of composure in keeping possession which often ends in early rims and passes which get picked off. Most of the issues seem to revolve around the fear of making mistakes, at least on the road, too big gaps, lack of engagement in the defensive zone, too early giveaways.

I actually don't fault Verbeek here, he has moved on from a lot of players and we have a very lean team for the future with all our top young talent still here. The deals he did give out are not an issue. Sure, if Cronin can't find any offense with this team then Verbeek has to show willingness to move on from Cronin.

You’d think that after years of regularly giving up 40+ shots, they’d try to make some changes. Do even other bad teams give up quite that many shots and as consistently? With Eakins, our personnel for a couple years may have been allowing for it, but it shouldn’t be happening still where it happens this often, the system is just junk.

Cronin spoke of making adjustments in his coaching and management style. He recognized that it wasn't working last season. Now he needs to make an adjustment to the defensive system that his team is playing. It isn't working. Too much time trapped in our zone, players exhausted that can't get off the ice, the goalie being peppered with shots almost every game. What should be the strength of the team (offensive skill) is being wasted because they rarely have the puck. I'm not a hockey coach, but would like to see more pressure on the puck when defending. Saying "they aren't skating" shouldn't cut it anymore. Because that is a reflection on the coach, as well.

There is only one player who may be able to influence Verbeek… Dostal.

While he is not going to be eligible for FA, he may be the real deal and he may not want to go the Gibson route getting peppered every night for a losing cause.

You lose Dostal, you lose the season, well, the season is lost already, but maybe not another top 3 pick with him.

I've been a Ducks Fan since 2004, and a hockey fan since a kid (I'm 52). My enthusiasm for this team coming into this season was about the lowest it's been in that 20 years. After watching the first handful of games, I'm really struggling to want to keep tuning in. It's not only a bad team, but a boring team. Really not a good combo. At this point, I have no faith in Cronin, and very little in PV.

I love the Ducks, but this how you begin to lose a fan base, and potentially a team. Being 7 hrs from SLC, I was hoping to watch some of their games and have them as a "backup team". But of course, all their games are blacked out for me in Idaho.

Look what's going on in San Jose...

I find myself just watching the games expressionlessly like a psychopath. This isn’t fun.

Maybe we're not good at developing youths or we're using the NHL as the developmental ground (rushing prospects) without proper insulation.
