So Austria will have two clubs in the CL, doubt thats happened before? Surprised at how relatively easy Sparta beat Malmo. Young Boys make the CL despite their early struggles domestically

I’m not. Sparta have a danish coach who knew everything about Malmö. He knew not to underestimate them like others do.

Dinamo Zagreb back in the Champions League, not sure how well they will do there, the squad is ok but as usual they might sell off a couple guys before the window closes (Baturina and Sucic notably)

I see Pascal Olmeta's kid is a backup goalkeeper for Lille

Slavia make it 1-0 in the 5th minute and honestly it was coming, Lille have no answer for Slavia's high press.

Lille look like the crowd has gotten to them, I've never seen Chevalier misplace so many passes
Things are going better now even though Slavia just had a big chance. They have more control.

Lille's been time-wasting since like the 15th minute lol

Slavia hit the post now, same player who scored, Zafeiris.

Genesio needs to make changes at half time. No idea what Chevalier, Meunier and Diakite have been trying to do this half.

As time goes on Lille s time wasting gets increasingly more embarrassing.

Zhegrova who was Lille s best player makes it 1 1 with a great shot, after hitting the post earlier with an even better one. Slavia wasn't able to keep their rhythm from their first 60 mins.

What a turnaround for Slovan! With ex Dinamo Zagreb bench player Marko Tolic playing a big role  Though looking at their squad it’s basically the Slovakian NT from 10 years ago (Weiss, Kucka, Mak etc lol)

Is it first time a slovakian team made Champions League?

Bodø/Glimt failed against Red Star. Deserved victory for Crvena Zvedza. Probobaly the toughest draw possible also for B/G, a good Red star team at home.
B/G has a decent chanche though to make a good figure in EL, with easier oponents than CL, and a good chanche to pick up many country coefficient points for Norway in EL.

Then and there
In tomorrow's draw there is a bit of country protection, so any club doesn't have to play more than two clubs from same nation (so for example, can't face 3 PL opponents).

Not sure what other restrictions there are, at least Milan teams can't play their home matches in a same day, maybe they don't want that for Madrid teams either.

Whats the deal with vålerenga btw? Big team from Oslo but never wins the title in the Norwegian Leauge.

Big day for Sweden today. Dif, Elfsborg and Häcken has a decent chance to advance. Would be nuts with 4 teams from Sweden in group stage. The fact that MFF missed out on the CL money was not the whole world when we are getting €17M for Nanasi and Cornelius. Plus €10M from EL.

It is Bodø/Glimt and Molde that have dominated in Norway the later years. Coastal towns with by norwegian standards lots of financial resources. Bodø/Glimt being sponsored by rich fishing companies, and Molde supported by big oil company Aker. Those two can buy any player they want on the norwegian market.

Vålerenga is in a rebuilding period after last years relegation. They're leading divison 1 by good margin and have taken 34 out 36 points on their last 12 matches. So we'll see them back in next years norwegian top league. Vålerenga don't have the financial muscles to be a top team a.t.m, maybe a sub top team from 3-6 with good management at the moment the coming seasons.

yeah but Vålerenga last gold was in 2005, before that it was in 1984. Oslo should do better.
