This is what's so frustrating about him, he clearly has all the tools, why can't he do this more often.
The Sens have a development plan in place for Boucher and it seems like it is progressing fairly well. Dave Bell, Belleville Senators head coach, mentioned that a few weeks back when Boucher scored his first goal. He said the organization has a plan for Boucher and he has had zero conversations with him about scoring.

It seems like the plan was to work on other aspects of his game first before focusing on his production. As of late, he has consistently played on the top two lines, with skill players. We see from that recent clip that he is now being used on the penalty kill which would be a testament to his defensive and positional play.

Overall, that goal is a really good sign for Boucher's development. Being utilized in a penalty killing role and being able to generate offense in that role is a really good sign. It is also a really good sign that he effectively used the d man to screen his shot. It is an indication that he is developing some poise and composure with the puck and learning how to use deception.

There is still a lot of development to go but it seems like he is being coached properly and the coaching staff is helping him to progress. Maybe he wasn't able to get the coaching he needed at BU and with the 67's or he is maturing as a person and player.

Boucher reminds me of Stefan Noesen. First round draft pick everyone banished tonnether realms because was injury prone terrible production when going. Then....one day he got healed and developed. Now is a legit middle six goal scoring forward.

Just took a bunch of years

BSens offense is starting to heat up..
They outshot Syracuse in a 3-2 loss , 43-21; Merilainen likely wins that game for them
They outshot Utica in a 4-3 loss , 42 -23 one game before that
Yesterday they put up 7 goals on Utica ; Sinclair with the win

They've outshot their opponent by a good margin for 7 games straight

I'll have to start watching more games
