Also, the coaching staff in Belleville deserve credit, it feels like the development in general has been better since last season.
Is Reinhardt a late bloomer?
I was going to talk about him, the guy decidedly want to be a NHLer
What a start with 10 pts in 5 games. Only the Habs D prospect Logan Mailloux has a better PPG with 9 pts in 4 games
Also, funnily, Calen Addison and Erik Brännström are tied at 7th with a 1.50 PPG (only 4 and 2 games though)
But it's not just about scoring regarding Reinhardt. He's a good skater, plays a responsible 200 feet game, can PK, is not a pushover and has good size/strength. I think he can develop into a very strong shutdown 4th line winger. I'm rooting for him and he's rising the prospect list big time as we speak. He was already showing good stuff last preseason but his game has continued to develop
It makes this 2020 draft even more legendary
Tim Stutzle
Jake Sanderson
Ridly Greig
Tyler Kleven
Cole Reinhardt
and maybe more...
Only one clear bust (Eric Engstrand) as Philippe Daoust (turns 23 y/o in 2 days) could be a legit prospect if he could just stay healthy. Leevi Merilainen is a decent goalie prospect who has a chance to end up as a NHLer.
Roby Jarventie is back from injury, started in the AHL (2 pts in 2 games) and might play for the Oilers as soon as this year. Egor Sokolov is good at the AHL level but still doubtful he'll be able to be a regular NHL player, might get more games though.
