I think he might be the steal of the draft, looking at him at the prospect camp he was by far the most talented player out there and now to see highlights play like that for Michigan I really think he has a higher upside than most people think. He can do 40 pts this year as a rookie and honestly I wouldn't be surprised. Team Canada better have to invite him to the WJC
I didn’t know of him before the draft but when I saw the highlights I was almost as excited as drafting Demidov. His zone entries are gorgeous.

same here, I didn't know him before the draft but I was shocked at how good he looked in the USHL vids I posted after the draft, as he showed a lot of good things in those games and so far has carried that over to the NCAA. If you watch the vid of his game last night he easily could of had 2 or 3 pts, certainly an impressive start.

If he continue like that, he should easily have gone top 10-12 in his draft.

PPG production at 18 years old in NCAA, that's worth more than a 21nd overall selection to me. If he can put more than that, that's a top 10 talent production.

Like Demidov, he is a hard working guy aswell, talent + hard work + high IQ = best combinaison to become very very good NHL player. Demidov and Hage have that!

Just for sake of comparison, there were a few pretty good NCAA prospects taken in the 2022 draft.

D + 1 season in the NCAA

3- Logan Cooley- 60 points in 39 games
5- Cutter Gauthier- 37 points in 32 games
13- Frank Nazar- 7 points in 12 games (injured)
14- Rutger McGroarty- 39 points in 39 games
23- Jimmy Snuggerud- 50 points in 40 games

Of note, most of these players played with much deeper rosters than Hage has at U of M.

Cooley played with Snuggerud, Knies and Brock Faber.

McGroarty played with Adam Fantilli, Luke Hughes, Gavin Brindley and Seamus Casey

Cutter Gauthier had the weakest supporting cast in his rookie year at Boston College.
