And why is that? They're on the same team. Miller hasn't magically led the Canucks anywhere that Pettersson hasn't.

One of these guys alienates teammates and is a cancer wherever he plays. The other is Pettersson.

Yes, Miller is a loser.
It’s like the expression: “If you run into an asshole in the morning, you met an asshole. You run into nothing but assholes, you’re at a Canucks game.”

If he was such a winner you think the Lightning would've moved on from him mid contention window? His dick headedness is 100% more than just him wanting to win.
So his basically your standard schoolyard bully who can play. Unfortunately hockey is a team sport and unnecessary headaches are bad in a long term.

Yeah I dont want to have another Georgiev in him and Bednar telling us to "move along, nothing to see here" 😅

Guys would take Miller's personality/attitude a lot better if he didn't have issues himself. The guy is below average defensively. Play a very good 200ft game and then you can shit on guys that make mistakes. Very hard to take shit from somebody when he makes mistakes himself and/or show lack of effort also.

I said it multiple times when we traded away Georgiev, he obviously didn't have a great attitude and was giving it to teammates. But so does MacKinnon. Difference is, everyone is fine with Nate doing that because he's arguably the best hockey player right now.

Miller is probably not at that level, and Georgiev certainly wasn't.

IMO the difference between Mack and Miller is Mack does it in the moment and then it is over. He either apologizes for being an ass to the guy or take accountability of his mistake. We hear all the time about Mack being intense. You hear all the time about Miller being intense AND an asshole.

We don't hear of stories where MacKinnon is screaming at guys to work harder.

We definitely do hear those about Miller, yet there are countless examples of Miller slacking off and expecting someone else to do the hard work for him.

I'm guessing Pettersson sees right through his bullshit.
I mean Zadorov told about an instance where MacK took slapshots at some rookie Dman who kept passing to his feet at practice.

You have it wrong. Although you’re right, neither are on MacKinnon’s level. But that much is obvious. But if you’re going to play the, which of these is different game, it should be obvious that it’s Georgiev. Miller is good to great. He’s a 90pt machine even if he’s not on MacKinnon’s level. Georgiev isn’t very good.

Put another way, Georgiev is like an ugly woman who tries to make up for it by having a bad personality.

We hear stories about MacK being an asshole off the ice too.

I think that's just his personality though. It comes off like he's an asshole, but I think he just doesn't have time for BS. Which I can appreciate.

He seems welcoming and gracious with people he likes. Even on other teams like inviting Schenn over for dinner during the season.

Zadorov was really the worst I heard which was not much compared to Miller.

This.

Methinks Rutherford and Allvin are ultimately going to hitch their wagon to Tocchet and Miller and they’re going to regret it.

Yeah, MacK has the results to shit on someone, but I am sure he is way harder on himself than others. That's just being ultra competitive. They can come off as impolite but in the end that's what made them good too and they want to win BADLY.

That's a winner. Will to win but comes off bad at times.

Miller is a dynamite. It might work till it explodes. He could give us a CUP but I would expect bitter end. It wouldn't be pretty in the end. If he was a rental for few months, he would be potentially okay. Long-term.. nah

So for me, way too big of a risk after fixing the locker room. Things seem better now.
