Tells us how worthless that stat is.Mitts is - 11 worst on the team.
Meanwhile Byram.is +9 which leads the Sabres and has had a great November.
Waiting for that Makar and Jacob Middleton swap any day now... His +15 would be such an insane boost to this team.Mitts is - 11 worst on the team.

Can you imagine how dominant this team would be with Jacob Middleton instead of that Barrie-wannabe?Waiting for that Makar and Jacob Middleton swap any day now... His +15 would be such an insane boost to this team.
That's a net +20 swing in our favor!! We could have a .515 record after that trade! Can you imagine how dominant this team would be with Jacob Middleton instead of that Barrie-wannabe?
As long as empty net goals count on +/-, it is a purely useless stat.
Byram has been very good for a few weeks now though. Is this one of his typical hot streaks that he has? Or has he turned a corner?
Certainly that plays a role too. Just naturally when you're playing with an empty net, the odds are much greater of giving up a goal than scoring one. I don't know where Mitts is today, but it has to be -5 or -6 with an emply net. It's also useless because it depends on goaltending. A player can give up 20 scoring chances while he's on the ice, another player can give up only one, but if the goalie for the first guy makes all the saves and the other guy is Georgiev, that results in a minus-1.
The fact that you likely typed that with a straight face tells me all I need to know about your talent evaluation skills.Mitts is - 11 worst on the team.

We should've just traded for superstar, generational Barrett Hayton!!!!!The fact that you likely typed that with a straight face tells me all I need to know about your talent evaluation skills.
This is league wide not by teamCertainly that plays a role too. Just naturally when you're playing with an empty net, the odds are much greater of giving up a goal than scoring one. I don't know where Mitts is today, but it has to be -5 or -6 with an emply net.
LOL the Avs are the top 4 in that statThis is league wide not by team
Kovalenko (3rd liner) has a higher ceiling than LOC (4th liner).
LOC can play on the 3rd line but he shouldn't stay there for too long. We're seeing right now the effect of too much ice time for him, he's ineffective at best.
If Landy is healthy enough to come back we'll be doing LTIR shenanigans the rest of the year. Pretty sure Toews could use some LTIR time.Nuke's cap hit is not prorated?
Edit: We have 9M of cap space, which is Landy + Poolman on LTIR
Nuke will be using 6M of that...so Landy literally can't come back.
That'd require quite a bit of cap gymnastic since they'd have to constantly have 6M on LTIR. Avs just don't do that. I don't see it.If Landy is healthy enough to come back we'll be doing LTIR shenanigans the rest of the year. Pretty sure Toews could use some LTIR time.
It’s kind of complicated. His cap hit was never going to be pro-rated, but instead the team would be able to accrue cap space while he was suspended. All the injuries and carrying a 3rd goalie cut into that. They likely accrued a bit of cap space, but not nearly what was hoped over the summer.Nuke's cap hit is not prorated?

Correct. But it doesn’t make much of a difference.I'm guessing Colton isn't on LTIR?
Landy's "setback" is gonna last until he Mark Stones it up for game 1 of the playoffs
