So the real solution is to get a guy who's actually good at the hockey AND good at faceoffs. Hence, Kopitar.

Forget the cap, forget the trades necessary, forget the need. Think about the shockwaves this would cause. Colorado would literally become top 3 must watch hockey. They wouldn’t be able to keep up with merchandise manufacturing for how much they’d sell. They’d become a national favorite to watch. The media attention would be crazy.

Just from a business perspective they would absolutely jump all over it.

Colorado wouldn’t even need to win for this to be a succesful idea.

This is Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari all over again. Doesn’t matter if Hamilton is washed (Crosby isn’t), the sheer money they make from it is worth more than winning a title.
