That would still leave us looking for a #2CMittelstadt,Gulyayev and 1st 2026 for Granlund and Ferraro. Probably a third team for taking some salary

Granlund is very underated as center. That would still leave us looking for a #2C
He's not a center, not in a good team. Never was, never will be. He's better as a winger.Granlund is very underated as center.
1c in a bad team with 545 FO he can be a good 2C in a good team. He's not a center, not in a good team. Never was, never will be. He's better as a winger.
Probably too much Mittelstadt and 3rd for Granlund , no need for Ferraro .Mittelstadt,Gulyayev and 1st 2026 for Granlund and Ferraro. Probably a third team for taking some salary
No he’s notGranlund is very underated as center.
You’ll find out soon enough that wasn’t the case.I still think Bednar's loyalty to 4giev f***ed with FatMan's head. He was doing good until he gave George more unearned starts.
Just decide which one of Andersson and Manson to keep for 2025/26, and trade the other for assets. We can't have a 4.5M AAV dman on the 3rd pair, especially not next year.
I don't know that Andersson is necessarily open to a trade. He said he would prefer to remain in Calgary but understands if a trade happens, it happens. He even said in that interview he hates Edmonton and Vancouver lol, the guy doesn't want to move. Why is no one here talking about Rasmus Andersson? Apparently he's open to being traded and available for a 1st+prospect+ a lesser piece.
His $4.55m caphit is manageable especially with retention, and you know CMac loves to target guys who aren't rentals, which fits since Andersson has one more year after this one. This front office also clearly like to have 5 good Dmen on the blue line judging by the Walker trade to replace Byram last year, so you know they'll want to add a good Damn to the mix.
Yeah the cap would have to be managed in the off-season but imo you go all in with available capspace now, and then figure things out with the cap for next season in the off-season.
Malinski can also be dangled as an obvious part of the trade as a direct replacement for Calgary in the short term. So say something like 1st + Ritchie/Gulyayev + Malinski/B prospect.
Toews - Makar
Girard - Andersson
xxxx - Manson
The best thing about this trade is that you slip OO in. At this point, if we could find a way to get any value in return, I'd be ecstatic. It'd harken back to JoJo (the first JoJo) in the Konowalchuk deal.Mitts + Colton + Ritchie + Olausson + 1st for Crosby (50% retained) + Pettersson
Nuke/Mack/Mikko
Lehky/Sid/JD
Landy/Jusso/LOC
Wood/Kelly/Kivi
Ivan
Toews/Makar
Pettersson/Manson
G/Malinski
Kylington/CDH

Shut up, don't ruin the dream.
They've never done it, and they won't do it here.Lavoie used to be one of the more reliable reporters but I haven't seen much from him recently. However, I don't believe it for one second.
Why is face-off percentage a proxy for whether a player plays center and whether the player is a good center?1c in a bad team with 545 FO he can be a good 2C in a good team.
I feel there was some chatter about him last week as a trade target when he came out and said he hates the Oilers and Canucks and would prefer not to be traded thereWhy is no one here talking about Rasmus Andersson? Apparently he's open to being traded and available for a 1st+prospect+ a lesser piece.
You must have better sources than him then! They've never done it, and they won't do it here.
If that report is true, then Avs have to trade Mikko before or at the trade deadline this season. If it goes to offseason then you can’t trade him obviously
