Thank God I’ve managed to keep my kids away from that show. Not one parent out there has ever said anything remotely good about him. Unfortunately my eldest knows about “Blippi.”
How many hours of Bluey have you watched in your life. I don’t even have kids but I’m probably up to 20000 hours just visiting my niece and nephew.

I just don’t see the 2C market being there. Miller was the big name that was the best fit .

Think the Avs will look for a good fit on the 3rd line to improve depth scoring . There are some solid options out there

A top-20 TV villains list came out a few weeks ago and half of it was GoT stuff but Cailliou made his way onto that list and I spit my drink out laughing. Everyone else was a legit villain.

Bluey is what kids tv should be, goofy and silly but with heart felt messages and lessons
Most importantly, doesn’t flat out suck to watch as an adult.

We’ll see I guess. I still think Cmac pulls something unexpected.

As of today, mein Kempf

So i guess this Lindgren thing pretty much means no Jones, right? Not that they are in any way comparable, but we are not getting another D-man now, surely?
Still very possible to get Jones.

But likely needs a contact going out, like Colton/Manson/Girard OR an LTIR.

The Avs current 22 man roster below has $4.124m in capspace.

If a guy gets traded out to open up a spot for someone new that would effectively open up at least another $775k as well. So the Avs could add someone with a caphit up to ~$4.9m by only trading out or waiving one of Malinski/Vesey/Kiviranta/Kylington.

Now if they trade Wood you suddenly have $6.624m ($4.124m + $2.5m) to play with. That's almost Seth Jones territory. Maybe you drop Kylington or Malinski as well for an extra $800k-$1.05m to get to ~$7.5m to fit Jones in at that number, and just roll a 21 man roster until the playoffs.

How are we replacing Mitts?

Why are you excluding Middleton? I think he's pretty entrenched on the team now.

Avs have 3.2865 m in deadline cap space. Just need to upgrade Mitts and Malinski, and then we'll be looking good.

Unfortunately, today's move probably makes acquiring Jones AND keeping Manson pretty tough. You need a healthy scratch on both forward and defense, otherwise even the slightest injury means a guy has to go on LTIR otherwise they won't even have the cap space to call up an AHLer.

Also, I don't think Lindgren-Manson makes for a good pairing. Similar players, although Manson is a better skater. Lindgren is probably a good partner for Malinski; a left-handed, true defensive defenseman.

I'm wondering if we bring in a 3rd team, ideally a contender, that would have interest in Manson as part of a Jones deal. Manson would probably waive for a contender. He has a 12 team not-trade list.

Something like...

To CHI:
- Wood
- 2026 COL 1st
- Manson return from Team 3(futures)
To COL:
- Jones (CHI retains $2.5m)
To Team #3(contender):
- Manson

Manson should be able to fetch a 1st round pick himself, so Chicago would be looking at two 1sts as part of a Jones return. Wood is a dump.

This would leave us with the same $4m in cap space or so to add a forward, too.

Possible. Also possible he is just done for the season. Was skating, but nobody thinks he’s close to returning.

Except Chicago is said to have no interest in a futures deal for Jones. They want youngish NHL players or NHL ready prospects (like a Ritchie) they can build around, not picks or cap dumps. I can’t see Wood or Manson moving the needle.

I brought up in the Lindgren trade thread, what if CMac acquired Lindgren so he could trade Girard in a deal for Jones?
