That said, he wouldn't fit the Avs. Foot speed IMO isn't there. Lehkonen obviously can skate very well which is why he works here.

I like McCann a lot, hard shot and a good skater although he lacks top end speed. But you'd have to be pretty convinced him or Necas can manage center, which I really doubt on both.

Not sure how anyone would suggest throwing away assets on him. Unless they believe we can flip him for a 2C that Mitts doesn't get us.

I completely disagree with this. Jones is a long-term trade, he could be a great partner for Heiskanen raising their top pairing to on-par with ours or anchoring their 2nd pairing. They're already ridiculously deeper than the Avs when it comes to scoring. Better goalie in net. Dallas adding Jones just makes them that much more of a wall to try and get through.

If Jones came with the $2-3mil retention, I'd move Richtie for him if it moved the needle. At the very least it might force Dallas to trade Bischel.

I hope they get Jones , he's a pilon defensively and the top line will eat him up, especially without Heiskanen.
