Maybe, but the guaranteed goalie fight we'd get would be worth it.

The disconnect seems more the fault of MacFarland than Bednar. Bednar and his assistants knew damned well that Alex Newhook wasn't anything remotely resembling a 2nd line center. They certainly tried him there long enough to appease the brass, but it wasn't too long before he was relegated to the same dustbin as so many other 18s in Avs history. The fact hat MacFarland even tried to sell Newhook as the 2C of the future should have been a more ominous sign than we realized.

Hopefully Drury 2.0 doesn't follow suit.

The only thing worse than thinking Newhook could be a #2C was thinking they Ryjo could fill that gap. Pretty amazing how awful Cmac is at talent evaluation.
