Granlund is doing really well this year plus they added Ceci (who people still value for some reason). I think it was a good trade for both teams

I still maintain he did a horrible job with Hertl and EK65 retention. But other than that, he's made some savvy moves. And in the end, getting rid of EK65 and Herth was important.

I don't think anyone should be upset at this deal, in fact I think we should be happy.

Mikael Granlund, as good as he's been in San Jose, has been producing because he's been thrust back into offensive situations like he was in Minnesota. When he was playing with Nashville outside of one season he looked brutal, and his brief stint on Pittsburgh's 3rd line he looked brutal. If Dallas expects to play him on the 3rd line, they may not be getting great results.

Cody Ceci is who he is. One of the worst defensemen this league has seen in the last 25 years and somehow continues to find roles on teams - prominent roles, too.

I'm happy as an Avs fan today.

No argument about Ceci but watch Granlund scoring against us somehow even when scratched for the game. Because f***ing Dallas.

There's less cap accrual that way and more teams that haven't ruled out making the playoffs yet, so most likely you'd get considerably less trades with an earlier deadline.

I dunno I don't see much of a player in Ritchie myself. Zegras has potential the other guys are overpaid for what they bring.

I think Ritchie will be fine middle six center I’d bet. Landy and loc on the third line next year to start would be really good for him JMO

I thought they were basically going to hold onto both of them for the rest of their careers unless they wanted to move.
