Damn that's kind of deflating info. Hopefully Cmac makes some more moves before the TDL
Seravelli is still waiting for Kotkaniemi to land in Denver

We learned later that he was part of the Canucks package.Yeah, and KK was coming to the Avs.
C'mon, yes he does.We learned later that he was part of the Canucks package.
Frank was the first to break the Rantanen trade, honestly he doesn't deserve the hate he gets on this board.
He doesn't. Also I just posted a fresh The Athletic article showing that he was right and you were wrong on the Chicago timeline.C'mon, yes he does.
In that case…..Yeah, and KK was coming to the Avs.
Cmac reads Hf and takes our advice or Necas and Mitts aren't here. I'm sure of it. Yes that means the Mitts trade is our fault. Good job guys.
Yeah ok whatever - I don't care how many 'fresh' articles this schmuck posts on the athletic - I'll never subscribe to that garbage. He doesn't. Also I just posted a fresh The Athletic article showing that he was right and you were wrong on the Chicago timeline.
Not really, Necas was going to walk after that contract and they'll have a ton of cap space and assets left to make other moves if neededHow bad of a move it would be for the Canes if they don’t win the cup and don’t re-sign Mikko? Talk about somewhat franchise ruining move
And Necas gets the winning goal against them in the SCF.How bad of a move it would be for the Canes if they don’t win the cup and don’t re-sign Mikko? Talk about somewhat franchise ruining move
6 games including two Eagles games… just because they were in the area.
Sure, Frank, sure.
Sounds like damage control leak to Frank because a deal probably fell apart.
Yes, he's not been great lately, but honestly - what depth player is consistently playing at the top of his game across 82 games? If he did, he would be a top line player, not a depth one. He was great early on, not so great now. He'll probably be pretty good again this season.Colton played 10 minutes today and looked like shit.
Even the 4th line played more than him. Kiviranta 13 mins, Kelly 12 mins…
Bednar has continuously demoted Colton down the lineup.
That was proven to be free also many times over.Well someone did say they offered Rantanen to go to Chicago or Carolina. Reasonable to assume. Chicago was evaluating a big offer for Rantanen too. And Cmac used then to handle the money instead since everyone was already talking and they wanted to get rid of Hall.
I like the 'Jones is still in play' alternate reality better though.
We learned later that he was part of the Canucks package.

He's legit, but he makes mistakes. I have no issue with him. I just wanted to remember and help others remember KK did not get traded to us really.
It would still stink for them. They gotta re-sign Mikko. If they win the cup but can’t re-sign him, they probably won’t care as much, but if no cup and Mikko walks, ouch… that’s just gonna hurtNot really, Necas was going to walk after that contract and they'll have a ton of cap space and assets left to make other moves if needed

Colton's contract is not bad. Nor is Manson's, btw. They're mid-tier/2nd tier players, but good ones. They bring a physicality to their game that ups the $$$. Good players with some flaws. Precisely the "depth players" we'd be begging for if they weren't here. Precisely the "depth players" we currently want more of right now.
Colton is a ~20g/40pt guy (across a 82 game season), who plays a relatively simple (and physical) game. Those attributes/numbers get guys ~$4M per. That's the market. We've got two of them, they're pretty good, all things considered, and we'd be begging for them if they weren't here.
I can't fathom the people who gripe about Manson and Colton at $4M, claiming they're the problem. They're not.
The problem is 2C. Mittelstadt. Period. End of story. That's the problem.
And if they don't solve that problem, none of the rest of the story matters.
Yeah, it doesn’t pass the smell test. Like the Hawks are gonna tell Frank who they were there to see, so they just fed him some shit sandwich and he ate it and then regurgitated it.6 games including two Eagles games… just because they were in the area.

Yeah, Drury is a better player at a fraction of the cost. So so much better.Never been so happy for a media guy to be wrong. Drury seems like just what the doctor ordered for the bottom 6.

I’m sure Jones was just sick the very day that his team was involved in a major three team deal. Truly, very likely.Yeah, it doesn’t pass the smell test. Like the Hawks are gonna tell Frank who they were there to see, so they just fed him some shit sandwich and he ate it and then regurgitated it.
Since the new year, Mitts has been a positive Corsi player with much better xGF%. Still work to do, but he has been better. I think it was injury related and it’s starting to clear up.

While that was once a culinary staple of my drunken youth, I haven't touched that shit in years. I think I'd be sitting for a few days, if I ate that stuff now.Sorry, that was me, I had Burger King for lunch.
