Maybe wishful thinking that's based on nothing but I'm kinda getting my hopes up for EP. I'm sure they were willing to go double digits for Mikko and probably more than EP but just not that 14 number. Could never realistically get him with Mikko around but now?

Its an interesting thought for sure... Especially if it also sounds like the Canes were pretty far along in trade talks for either of Miller of Pete before pivoting to the Avs instead? It also sounds like the Avs got more in return for Mikko then Vancouver was going to get for at least Miller since the Canes flat out wouldn't include Necas in a Miller deal.


With Friedman actually saying that its known the Avs haven't exactly been thrilled with Mitts.... I wonder how you could structure that deal.

Drouin almost certainly coming back now. He did the Avs a real solid sticking around for 1x$2.5M last year when he easily could have gotten more. But he also really wants to be here rather then anywhere else so I dont think he gets big money still. Probaby like $3.5M for 3-4 years is my guess. But honestly with his injuries as well maybe even slightly lower then that.


The other guy to remember is Ritchie. He's for sure making the team next year if we dont move him.


No way we're done. I have a feeling one of Ross or Mitts are getting moved. Maybe not this year but by the summer for sure.

I don't trust Jones. I think he has been bad and not just simply overpaid. To me it's a big risk for a player on the wrong side of 30.

I'm not saying it does or doesn't, but the money lines up almost perfectly, and would make the smoke around Jones and Mitts and the scouting make a lot of sense
