(Malinski)

Blackwood
Wedgewood

My GOD !!!!! I feel almost dirty writing it, I'm so turned on.
I'd roll with Sam over Oli but we'll see how it plays out. Either way it's a heck of a lot better than relying on CDH or Middleton

I loved Shane O'Brien - he came to us, and literally grew another leg. 20 points, 76 games, plus player and laid the smackdown (regularly).

He’s my most hated Av of all time after Georgiev

I’m watching London-Oshawa right now and I bet a lot of NHL scouts are too. Cowan vs Ritchie. I’ve shit on this league most games I’ve watched over the last handful of years but this game is very high paced and Ritchie looks goooood. Did a real good job on the PK in a 3v5 situation, has laid a few big hits on the forecheck and is moving at a pace better than I’m used to seeing. I haven’t exactly been his biggest fan but this is encouraging.

You’re shitting on the OHL? what junior league is better?!?

We can throw out all the potential trades we want but management has to be thinking bigger picture here. We aren't favorites but we aren't too far behind. Very few trades out there could get us to favorites but even then it's barely a favorite. Just keep a sustainable team out there, hope it stays healthy and try to make some improvements with youth, maybe Landy, and a few select FAs next year. You use up all your options on one big trade with questionable contracts and if it doesn't work out then you're done. You are fighting uphill. At least Casey isn't a long term bet you can't get out of if he can't turn it around

Did we top the the ultimate trade deadline year of Soderberg, Nemeth and Dubnyk yet? A master class by Sakic that year.

He was one of the money changers that Giguerre kicked out of the temple that started the turn around after the lost decade.

As far as I'm concerned JSG deserves a ring and place on the Cup for that act.

Nashville was involved in the Duchene trade, then traded us Parssinen, Wedgewood, and Ryjo.

The in Division thing only matters so much.
Ya I forgot about Girard. But even that was 8 years ago now. It usually matters with big deals so it's pretty rare that it does happen - usually only when the windows aren't lining up.

Just don't see the Blues trading Parayko to us while in the playoff hunt, and therefore strengthening a direct rival in the playoffs. It's more like if they ever decided to move him they'd have many suitors so why choose us when they can get a similar package from an Eastern team like the Leafs?

I don't believe Nabokov holds much value around the league.

He might hold some, goalie fans seem to like him a lot, but he holds a lot more value to the Avs, because he's the best goalie prospect they've had in a very long time, and they can't seem to find them ever.
