We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:

Doubt they would ever trade a lottery pick. Would they trade the pick if it was like a 9OA? Maybe? If it gets them that top2C in the 24-25 age range

I mean it’s one of those pointless questions. Like how the f*** would I or anyone know who would shake free? Any names I throw out of my ass will inevitably end up in a stupid convo that takes on 2 direction, no way that player is available for that cheap or why the f*** would we target that kind of player with such a high picks.

I still consider Demko a top 5 goalie when healthy. It appeared that he recovered from the pop injury. I can't see him out much longer with a groin injury. With a contract through 2026 at just 5 mil, plenty of teams would be willing to take a chance on him returning to full health and providing elite goaltending.
That makes no sense, a top6C that’s 24-25 of course can be a difference. Look at Washington after they added Dubois.

I think so too, but Demko needs to learn there are some saves he *shouldn't* be making, even though he can.

Yeah, he's one of the most competitive on the team so even he knows thats impossible when hes playing. He's cautious, probably keeping himself out of the lineup until he's 110%.
I gotta consider how atrocious our D was with all the odd man rushes, breakaways and backdoor plays, forcing our goalies to make multiple ridiculous desperation saves per game... that Lanks' health has held up.

Demko means everything to this team but he is pretty much toast sorry people I know it hurts and a year away from UFA I genuinely feel so terrible for the guy but it is what it is.
Thats the shelf life of a pro athlete. Thats why they take every penny they can, for as long as they can.

I had Detroit pegged as the one place maybe theyd gamble and thought there was some Demko ties somehow to the area.. then they just grabbed Petr Mrazek who is also capable of missing entire seasons so thats gone.
When I say not a shred of value, I guess I dont mean literally but whatever Frederik Anderson's value is, or John Gibson's value, which is pretty much zilch.
