Dickinson is going to be a monster, his
season isn’t too surprising.

He’s definitely on a great team that helps, but he is, by a gigantic amount, the best player there.

Has everything you want in a top pair guy.

How a team of scouts could watch the OHL extensively and come to the conclusion that Parekh over Dickenson boggles the mind. I’d be so upset if our team made that conclusion.

Eliasson is a well oiled violence machine

Holy mother of god he wants all the smoke.

Drills two guys, wins his fight, hits the Chris Neil pump up the crown celly, then points out the other guy’s nose is leaking.

Holy father we have drafted Chara with the 2nd round pick!!

who's the most pleasant surprise among the ottawa prospect pool so far this year?
let's say aside from eliasson - that dude is fun to watch.

Too early to tell, but Blake Montgomery had a good start to his season, just moved to an excellent program in London, and will have every opportunity to continue to raise his profile.

At the pro level, Cole Reinhardt is off to an excellent start, with 11pts in 7 games at the AHL level while playing a crash-and-bang style. He had a decent 2-game stint in Ottawa and looks like a potential bottom-line option, and a viable call-up option at the very least.

Excluding Carter Yakemchuk's head turning camp performance, I think the most pleasant surprise is generally how comfortable Kleven has looked with the big club.

We have had a tendency to pencil in prospects that simply weren't ready to help bolster the team but he looks like a genuine NHLer.

All this after a fairly unremarkable training camp too.

Yeah I wanted Dickinson badly on the Flames since the Flames already have quite a few notable good rhd prospects and need that monster 2-way dman over the possible erik Karlsson lite.

Cole and Ostapchuk had big offseason you can tell.

Montgomery for sure.

Wallenius also strong start

Montgomery was used quite sparingly in a 8-7 win for the Knights. A game where neither team could keep it out of their net.
I watched most of the 2nd and the 3rd.

Dickinson with 3A .. 25 pts in 15 games

Will be very interesting to see how all the big dmen from that first round do in the next 5 years. They can’t all be home runs. Or…?
