Wings fan coming in peace.

What’s up with Vitali Abramov? Currently lighting up the KHL, but the few stints he had with the Sens, he was sent down pretty quickly. Has the org given up on him?

Maxim Sorkin, the second-leading scorer, is more intriguing. Despite being only 1 point behind the Abramov, he has comparable production. Moreover, he is 2 years younger and taller at 6’2” instead of the 5’9” .

Calgary was supposed to struggle this year but currently has the highest pt% in the east and now have a legitimate path to the final. Couldn't ask for a better development scenario for Yak.

He'd never struck me before as a PMD (based on my limited viewings of him at past WJCs), but he's been collecting the points this year (32 pts in 29 games). The fact they use him on the 3v3 in OT is also a great sign. Looks like this is his breakout year, and puts him back on the prospect map with us. But I do realize he is now 20 playing in juniors.

Yeah pretty much. He’s not the biggest dude tho so it’s his smarts getting him by. But I don’t see much. Very vanilla guy

Anyone have any news on Roby Jarventie.

He missed training camp still recovering from a knee injury.
He has played 2 games for Bakersfield and has 2 assists.

If he could have stayed healthy and in the system.. He would have been a perfect guy to graduate and add some scoring.

Yeah not really a productive trade so far. We spent a 4th round pick in 2025 and Jarventie for Bourgault (and Chiasson but who cares? He'll never play in the NHL. The guy has 0 pts in 15 ECHL/AHL games this season)

I remember Jarventie looking great when he played with Batherson, too bad he ran into injury trouble and maybe the new management were not fans of the player... but that's a trade we're going to lose. Bourgault doesn't look like he'll amount to much in pro hockey.

So we lost a 4th in that trade, a 3rd to move Joseph, a 6th in 2024 for Jamieson Rees (another guy that won't amount to anything)... need to hit somewhere once in a while. At least Staios doesn't look like he'll make as many trades as Dorion so potentially less trades lost. We basically lost every single trade with Dorion except Karlsson and Pageau's. Even Paul-Joseph that we thought was a win last season, in the end Paul looks pretty good in Tampa and we had to pay a 3rd round pick to move Joseph (and we got a 4th in the trade so we ended up downgrading the pick lmao). The BLEEDING just never ends with Dorion.

I don't think he really moves the needle, but still don't get why we made that trade.
