Manson update:
So until Manson gets back we're looking at
Toews - Makar
Girard - Kylington
Lindgren - Malinski
Then when Manson returns, I imagine he goes back to the 2nd pair with Girard while whoever is playing better from Kylingtin/Malinski remains in the lineup on the 3rd pair.
I have a feeling the Avs are done on D once Manson returns. I'd prefer to solidify the position even more but I think they're done and will prioritize forwards at the TDL.
Manson update:
By hoping he returns by the end of the week. Are they hoping he returns to practice by the end of the week? Or something a bit more positive?

Your lips to gods ears. I miss seeing Josh playing. Also feel like his particular set of skills (balls of brass and absolutely no f***s to give) would give a big boost to the Avs right about now.He practiced with the team today for 15 minutes before leaving practice. He’s also been practicing on his own with the skills coach every day.
The goal is likely to integrate into full practices with no limitations during the week and to be ready for Saturday night against the Maple Leafs.
Manson has been hilariously bad aside from a few games this season.Your lips to gods ears. I miss seeing Josh playing. Also feel like his particular set of skills (balls of brass and absolutely no f***s to give) would give a big boost to the Avs right about now.
His play in the regular season has never been what has made him important to this team. However, we are in the stretch now and it's time for him to be on ice and rounding into the kind of physical shape that will allow him to do what makes him effective once the dance begins.Manson has been hilariously bad aside from a few games this season.
I thought he’s totally cooked.EJ is still out there, and cheap. He may not be an every night player, but as an 8? Go get em.
You say that like that would make a difference in our bottom pairing.I thought he’s totally cooked.

Here you go guys...you heard it from @Foppa2118 himself.....he says it is the start of the week and it is Sunday. Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol it's the start of the week. And they're "hoping" he can make it back by the end of the week? See ya next month Josh.

RIAL... For the first time, I'm beginning to believe Gabe is done.Good article.

Lonzo Ball has been sounding board for Avalanche’s Gabe Landeskog during knee rehab: “You’ve just gotta keep pushing through”
Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog has one contact in his phone who knows what he’s going through.www.denverpost.com
I just can't see him ever returning. Basketball is so much harder on knees and Lonzo has made a return WAY faster than Landeskog. Ball's timeframe was legit the timeframe that we heard Landeskog was given post-surgery.Good article.

Meanwhile, Landeksog is entering month 23 - a full 7 months past the expected return date and nobody knows if he's even skating let alone close to returning.
It's just sad to me. We all know how badly he wants to return but at some point reality has to come into play and Gabe needs to ask himself if this is truly possible, because I don't know if it is based on how long it's taking.
I've long wondered about the medical process behind this and perhaps @S E P H can speak more to it, but if I'm not mistaken they took this cartilage from cadavers which were preserved and the conspiracy theorist in me questions whether the transplant Ball got ended up meshing with his body than the one Landeskog got.At the end of January, we saw videos of him in practice flying up and down the ice, turning and pivoting both ways, looking real good. Then... nothing for another month. It's so weird.
He legit told the boys last playoffs to get to the third round to give him a chance. Crazy that he thought or felt he was that close.
Even in the article I posted, last summer in the golf tournament, he told people he can't say if it's game 1, 10, or 20, but they'll see him this year. We're at game 60.
Constant setbacks. So depressing. I can't imagine the mental strain on the human psyche.

The majority of the stuff is from cadavers and frozen. It's not just cartilage, we got frozen femur heads, feces for bad cases of c-diff, patella caps, random tendons, chips of bone, etc. You honestly do not know which one is better, Ball might have taken care of his knee a lot better than Landeskog did and why he's gotten better results. They (Ball/Gabe) might have gotten special treatment, but from the ones I work with, expiration date is a bigger issue for hospitals. Even frozen, a lot of these tissues do not have long expiration dates and must be used before it expires or the hospital has to throw it away. They cost a lot, I think one femur is around 1k I believe.I've long wondered about the medical process behind this and perhaps @S E P H can speak more to it, but if I'm not mistaken they took this cartilage from cadavers which were preserved and the conspiracy theorist in me questions whether the transplant Ball got ended up meshing with his body than the one Landeskog got.
The problem with Landeskog is that the swelling isn't going down, meaning he has something called seroma or just the accumulation of fluid after surgery.
Mine are just educated guesses. I can't make a proper diagnosis without the MRI report, data, history, etc.We don't know that's what's going on now though. It could be, but we just know it was an issue early on. Which sounds as expected.
Bednar denied that the swelling was affecting him skate now, for whatever that's worth, which may not be much.
I am going to favour Kaplan's insider info, who has no ties to the organisation to be biased (unlike Russo/Strickland), which she mentions swelling over Bednar's mouthpiece IMHO. She might have been fed bad info, but I see absolutely no reason for Emily to lie compared to Jared.Bednar denied that the swelling was affecting him skate now, for whatever that's worth, which may not be much.
