Can’t they still test while injured?Imagine how much trouble our organization would get in if Nuke is indeed using again and we are keeping him injured until he can stop and pass a piss test.

Won't get in trouble if nobody finds out.Imagine how much trouble our organization would get in if Nuke is indeed using again and we are keeping him injured until he can stop and pass a piss test.
Bednar said 7-10 days the morning after the injury. It's more than likely he was speculating on the timeline.Sooooo, 7-10 days turns into what, 4-6 Weeks? Well, we shouldn't be surprised. Stuff like that seem to happen ALL THE DAMN TIME. And ppl are wondering why we are so down on our medical stuff ...
If this was the first time stuff like this happens i would fully agree with you. But there is a reason why we make fun of the d2d stuff turning into a career ending injury because IT HAPPENS ALL THE DAMN TIME! So be so kind and allow me to be angry about that. Will you? Thank you. Good day sir.Bednar said 7-10 days the morning after the injury. It's more than likely he was speculating on the timeline.
Bednar said on the radio this morning that Nuke said he felt good after skating for several days before that practice, and wanted to give it a go. He reaggravated it. It happens.
People here crucify the medical staff and trainers no matter what they do. They're mad he's missed more time than they were initally told, but they are also mad that he was allowed to go out and practice and reaggravate it.

To be fair, Nuke is the only "important" guy out atm (i don't count Landy cause for me he isn't part of the active roster until he finally is), and they still play like shit. The season is truly cursed. I would punt it, sell off every pending UFA to the highest bidder and go at it next season.
Anybody seriously believe we'll ever be healthy? Guys play banged up around the league all the time but this team has to have anywhere from 2-5 extremely important pieces out entirely at a time all season.
We make fun of it because that's the term Bednar uses for nearly every injury regardless of how severe it is. There is a 0% chance that's what he's being told by the Dr's and Trainers. I don't like it either, but blaming the medical staff is ridiculous because we're never told the truth. We don't know what's going on.If this was the first time stuff like this happens i would fully agree with you. At this point, I'd rather they/he (Bednar) just says, "So and So is out with an injury. No timetable on return. He'll play when he's ready to go." Don't even say D2D or W2W or UBI or LBI.
No he f***ing isn't lol, or wasn't earlier this season. They talked about it for weeks in the Toronto media, when the team and Berube kept saying it was D2D for Matthews and then all of the sudden he's in Germany to see a doctor. And they then said D2D for Stolarz, which then turned W2W.That's how Berube is with the Toronto media.
We're so fortunate that many posters here are more experienced and knowledgable than the Avs training staff.Bednar said 7-10 days the morning after the injury. It's more than likely he was speculating on the timeline.

My brainfartOh, that's exactly how he's been for Tavares currently and McCabe a week ago.
