I still think Landeskog plays this year. Be it during the playoffs, or later in the spring, I don't think he's preparing at all for any other outcome. If there was any certainty at all that he wasn't able to do it, he would've stopped long ago. Just my two cents.

Avs are being intentionally coy about it, so that the media doesn't speculate on his progress.

Anyone hoping or expecting Landy is just setting themselves up for disappointment.

The reality is he probably should have been close to returning this month. That isn't happening. And from the sounds of it, he still isn't remotely close.

We haven't gotten any real updates in forever, again. No one knows what the f*** is going on. At this point it's really just a pipe dream to think he'll play again. And if he does just consider it a bonus.

Holding him out for the playoffs, Vegas and Tampa style

Drouin is moving like it’s a left bicep / shoulder injury, watch how he shoots (or doesn’t).

He has good lower core / oblique flexibility and strength, and he pulled a really solid extended reach with his top hand - too strong to have an injury there that is still weeks away.

Speculation, though, admittedly.

Damn straight Bedsy would put Landy in.

I can't imagine how much this has taken a toll on Gabe. Watching HIS team struggle and being unable to help has got to be one of the worst feelings in the world. To have it go on this long? Crap...once he's cleared and thinks he's ready...you stand between that man and the ice at your own damn peril.

Drouin had two fractured / cracked ribs and a collapsed lung. He ain't coming back anytime soon.

Laying the ground work to hold him out until the playoffs. The longer this goes, the more I think this is just about cap space. That's why they're not letting anyone watch him skate.
With what we saw on the beginning of the year this has been my theory as well.

They had to set the tone of a set back for cap reasons. I mean one can at least dream right?

It was funny listening to Bednar the other day talk about Colton hitting a bit of a wall after returning because his body hadn’t adjusted to playing hockey games again with the aches and pains after 6 weeks off.

Now extrapolate that by 2.5 years. Landy’s body may fall apart if he gets back.

You can't compare a NJ boy to a Nordic god.
