This is how they lock you in! And honestly where Ryobi excels. They have so many random tools that work with their batteries. MIlwaukee changes their form factor to have it as widespread, but Ryobi forces their tumor battery on everything... and it honestly kinda works.

Now though with battery adapters and Alibaba you can get around that a bit. Nobody should be pay anywhere near full price for batteries today. Just find a reliable knockoff brand and they do actually exist.
I’ve bought after market batteries for my Milwaukee and their trash, never again[/QUOTE]

Lonzo played in 5 games (3 regular season, 2 preseason) never playing more than 18 minutes. He is injured again with a wrist injury.

I hope Landy takes as much time as he needs and stays healthy once he is back.

You bought one of the bad ones. You got track down who they actually use for the cells. A pain, but the internet actually keeps up on these things. If you’re really handy though, just buying new 21700 cells is the ticket. Typically Milwaukee uses Samsung cells and those are fairly cheap now.

Landy has been out for so long that if he comes back it's not just his knee, but his whole body needs to get used to playing again. Most likely he will have a lot of body aches if he comes back. Short-term injuries are expected.

I'm honestly just shit posting. Milwaukee, Rigid, and Ryobi are all made by the same company (TTI). There are differences, but some of the stuff is remarkably similar beneath the skin. IE the new Ryobi brushless drills are basically the Milwaukee model from ~2020. They just build Ryobi to a lower price point and use the bit older tech.

The only two companies that are really top notch still are Makita and Hilti. Even Festool has gone downhill and Dewalt is no better than Ryobi anymore (F'ing Stanley ruining every brand they touch).
DEWALT has too many lineups. Flex volt is still imo my favourite circ saw. And their batteries I think are amongst the best(flex volt, PP and Powerstack) I dislike Makita’s cordless though seem to lack power and runtime.

All that said most power tools are great nowadays compared to what we used to have and most have some good offerings somewhere in their lineups.

IMO Dewalt started going downhill compared to their competitors after they were acquired by Stanley in the Black and Decker deal. In the early 2000s they were the gold standard of your everyday tool. From there it has been a slow decline to where I really don't think they are any different than Ryobi today. The last hammer drill I bought from them (to replace a Ryobi) was weak and wore out within 2 years. I had to turn back to my Ryobi to finish the job. It was pathetic.

I would agree on cordless tools, and that is mostly a function of battery technology. The movement to lithium ion batteries and them becoming a commodity (especially in the 18650 and 21700 batteries) has improved cordless tools a ton. The movement to pouch cells concerns me a bit... better for instantaneous power, but have major drawbacks elsewhere (Milwaukees tabless cylindrical cells are the future IMO... best of both worlds). Corded tools though, pretty much nothing beats the stuff made in the 40s-70s. Those things were built like tanks and you may have to replace cords or rebuild the motor (after 50 years), but they are nearly indestructible.

Dater, as much as he sucks, still has legit sources inside the org.

This sounds like Gabe is cooked and the Avs should be looking to spend his money this TDL.
Yeah he's bit hackish and acts like a petulant child most of the time, but despite this he still seems to have some sources. That's why we can't just throw what he says completely out the window.

I’m convinced at this point that Dater just makes it all up. He hasn’t broken a story in years now.
He was first for most of the Nuke stuff, someone in the org is still feeding him informations.

You gotta know how Dater operates. When he uses words like those in his last tweet it's not his opinion.

The believable part of what Dater said is that Landeskog was supposedly close-ish last playoffs but it's 6 months later and he isn't back yet. That's a really bad sign.

And I know the Avs are secretive, but I feel that if Landeskog was close they'd be hyping it a little bit to encourage the fanbase. We had videos of Landeskog practicing/skating during last year's playoffs. Now we've got nothing.

We know he always wants to be first. I don’t trust his sources. He’d definitely have said something by now

Ross Colton was hurt with the hand injury and was basically saying it was amputated. He came back the next game.

At least it's a great run to end on.

I guess we'll never find out when he was going to fall off, which was a big worry when re-signing him.
