Watch Kylington have the best game of his career on the wing

Might as well put 4giev in net for this one, Tampa is gonna score at least 5 regardless of who starts

They changed strength and conditioning coaches over the summer.

What do you want the medical staff to do? Not have Colton block a shot with his foot?
Why did Drouin finish the game if he was that badly injured? How often do injured players keep playing compared to other teams?

When you have a team this injured year after year it can't be only bad luck. Something, somewhere, isn't done correctly.

The team really wasn’t that hurt last year. Landeskog and Francouz fudged the numbers a fair bit but they were relatively healthy.

As for playing through some pain, that’s just hockey players. You’re running on adrenaline.

It just seems like we give players the okay to come back too soon.
I think they have both sides of this... they let players come back too quickly and too much within games, but when players are out, they wait longer than other orgs to cycle them back in.

The Avs have always been amongst the league leaders in injuries. Literally over the last 22 years, the Avs have the 2nd most man games lost to injury per year. 2nd only to Vegas. It would be pure dilusion to think that the Avs won't be injured.

Sure on Frank since that was purely a retirement thing, but we shouldn't outright exclude Landeskog.

Honestly still think it is our style of play....up tempo...some overuse of top line players in minutes...they get tired and let able to react to plays in a safe manner....thus taking damage. Training at alttutude helps with shorter recovery etc...still may be an issue. Also, poor goaltending causes everyone to feel more responsible for blocking shots....higher chance of injury.

FTR I don't have anything to really base this on, but I'd argue the teams you see out there that appear to be the "healthiest" are likely the ones with medical staffers who don't hesitate to pump liberal amounts of Toradol into the players to prop them up for another beating.

I feel like, if anything, the Avs don't generally like doing this. I can't say that for certain as I have no evidence but it's a possibility.

This is the same for every team though, so that doesn't explain our injury record for the past 7-8 years. The Avs are constantly near the top, with perhaps the exception of the cup winning season.

Oh yes, it can be.
