JT Miller barely got more than that. Boeser isn't a bad player but he doesn't get both of our most valuable trade pieces.I saw this trade proposal for Tampa-Vancoucer:
Tampa
Brock Boeser (50% retained)
Pius Suter
'25 4th (Ottawa)
Vancouver
'26 1st
Isaac Howard
Any thoughts? I'd want some protections on the '26 1st, and likely only feel good about it if an extension with Boeser was a sure thing. Even then, moving Howard seems questionable.
We SHOULD NOT trade Isaac Howard. Very open to moving Ethan Gauthier if the player(s) we acquire are above average offensive producers and fit.I saw this trade proposal for Tampa-Vancoucer:

f***ing garbage. Boeser sucks, you think you are frustrated by the lack of drive and offense now...Boeser is that ramped up 10x. The guy just turns off and becomes frustrating as hell. Suter same deal.. This trade makes us worse at the NHL level and we aren't even giving up any NHL assets.I saw this trade proposal for Tampa-Vancoucer:

You hate the players now and you want to bring in Boeser. That is hilarious.Games in hand mean absolutely nothing when we lose basically all our games though
It would be a no from me unless boeser agreed to an extension
Going to be a tough battle in these next two games against the Senators. They just demolished the Wild, won 6-0, shots 52-16. The Sens also have Tkachuk, Ostapchuk and MacEwen, all of them heavyweight fighters. Lilleberg will have his hands full.3/4 next games are MUST WINS. 4 will be tough, so hoping for 3

I agree. I also said the '26 1st+Gauthier+ for this deal in the other siscussion, but Howard likely kills it for me as well.We SHOULD NOT trade Isaac Howard. Very open to moving Ethan Gauthier if the player(s) we acquire are above average offensive producers and fit.
Vancouver is doubtful to move him without at least one 1st (or equivalent ranked prosoect) coming back. He's not my top choice either, but if he's available, I'm sure JBB will at least kick tires on him.Is he really that bad? He had 16 ppg last year and has a lethal RH shot, a big need for the team. He's not a guy I'm mortgaging blue chip pieces for but I'm not opposed to getting him at a more affordable price of like a 2nd round pick. If Vancouver were even interested in that, some team would probably outbid us, making it a moot point.
I still think what makes the most sense is targetting a young guy who needs no retention, but due for a big pay raise. We aren't after rentals and we don't have a ton of cap space, yet.
I've heard differently from other posters who also watch them regularly, so who knows what JBB and co might think. I wouldn't do the trade with Howard in it either, but getting a skd 2RW and a 3rd line winger that can score in this deal seems not the worst return for Tampa.f***ing garbage. I've watched his whole time in Vancouver, and Boeser is Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. The guy when he's on, he's a lethal threat. But the problem is since his dad died, his drive isn't there anymore. Injuries took away from his shot too. Guy is a shell of his former self, the hunger and passion isn't there. He is so frustrating to watch, just floats around and barely even uses his shot. His 40 goal season, he was rocking a 19.6 S%, he's only ever had more than 200 shots twice in his career.I've heard differently from other posters who also watch them regularly, so who knows what JBB and co might think.
