He was looking decent in Buffalo until he got injured. The Minny thing ended on a bit of a sour note but I think he could put it together for a few months going into a contract year. I don't see it being a high price for him but could be wrong. Him, Paul and Chaffee could be a nice 3rd line.

Going to be hard to get him out of Ottawa, they're 1 point out of a WC spot so there is little incentive to move him, but he would be another righty with the ability to play 2C/3C where needed, still produces, 6.5/y.

Same. Defensive issues aren't going to be our downfall this year. More like my concern is we face elimination and the game is gonna play out exactly like the Panthers game last night with only 2 power plays.

We need to be capable of a regular 3rd or 4th goal if our structure has any setbacks

I believe it was Friedman who reported we are talking to everyone right now. It would be pretty shocking if we didn't bring in something. I'd bet on another left field, crazy deal. JBB's targets are usually off the radar.

? I feel like we are hearing way more rumblings than usual. Usually we hear nothing and then, boom, Brandon Hagel. Or Blake Coleman. Or some other player not even being mentioned. This year you have most insiders saying we are asking about pretty much everybody, right down to Rantanen. That almost never comes out.
