2024-2025 Colorado Eagles and Utah Grizzlies (ECHL)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I mean, it's a developmental league (cue Tigervixxen snickering in background) so it makes sense they'd have rules in place for that. Unless this is a recent development I don't believe it prevents veterans like Mike McKenna, Cody McLeod, Darren Haydar, and Brian Willsie from having very long and successful AHL careers.

That developmental rule has been around for a long time... and SOB is just pissy because teams didn't want him around their younger guys. :sarcasm:

(He is right though that very quickly you can see if the 20/21 year olds can cut it)

There’s plenty of room for the TJ Tynan’s of the world to make it a career out of being a AHL legend. The vet rule is over blown. It doesn’t count ECHL games and their number doesn’t accrue in season. A guy like Jacob MacDonald wasn’t even over the vet limit his first time with the org. Maybe there isn’t room for AHL third liners to be veterans but there’s enough room for them to take the major roles. If they truly wanted to be a “development league” they should cap it at max 5 guys not on ELC but that would never happen.

I'm just bummed Behrens waited until he was back with the Eagles before getting hurt. The Avs could've used those 82 man games missed. I've got a feeling we're going for a record this year!

Any expectations for Trent miner when it comes to being an nhl goalie? He seemingly, looking at numbers at least, had a nice season last year in minimal starts. Nice first game last night too…

Anyways just curious

Zero. If he ever suits up for an NHL game, that team is in some severe trouble

He’s better than Mandolese. Miner has always been underrated, he could be a solid career 3/4 goalie if given the chance.
